No title can do this piece justice | Reviewer: kendoka | 8/20/07
I am a recent fan of X Japan, and this song to be pure brilliance, or this piece rather, as the word "song" could not possibly describe this songs brilliance. there are infinite amounts of songs, but only 1 of this. The meaning of this piece is everything and nothing. To find the meaning in this piece you must search beyond the lyrics, its brilliance lies in what you make of it, thus it can represent anything, even Life itself. Its brilliance also lies in how its performed, the feeling and the emotion put into every ounce of this song feels truly epic and to me can represent ever emotion of life and of myself. This piece, in my humble opinion, is truly life changing

A Change of Seasons by Dream Theater is by far a much better song than this one....i will admit the band is talented, but no one can argue that everyone, every single member in dream theater is 10X more talanted, first off the singer for "X-Japan" is absolutely horrible, he can barley speak english, his singing is illegible, and the lyrics make absolutely no sense sometimes and they go ON AND ON

it's just THE song for me,it shows everything, from music to lyrics, and it keeps on intruiging me for 30 minutes long every single time i listen to it ,truly a master piece
True expression in both music and lyrics. | Reviewer: Anthony Gonzalez | 6/11/07
Few lenghty songs accomplish the goals of exposing the contents and not get away from from the main essence. It is even more difficulty in power-proggressive style, but it is clear that X-Japan manages to stay sweet and mellanchollic through the entire song, in both the passionate lyrics and the expressive guitar solos. The battery, although ratter average, maintains a true presence; it is not there just to fill the beat and convert classic to rock. Briefing the marvel, it has specific essence, colorful lyrics, and a well structured junction in lyrical and musical composition.
Hear it, ok.

X-Japan... I suppose they were extremely inspired to compose such a stupidy complex and beautiful piece. This is not any song, is THE song!
Art Of Life, For Real. | Reviewer: Spiggy | 5/13/07
I have both the live and recorded versions of Art Of Life, and both a wonderfully played. The Live version is a bit longer, because of the piano solo and violins, but who cares?
This IS the real Art Of Life, and this IS one of the greatest songs composed.

There are no words for Art Of Life - I'm not qualified to rep a 30 minute song :) Art Of Life is like watching someone's life, all the way through, sped up. Truly amazing and diverse all the way through, this is one of THE X Japan songs - any fan should hear this. Any fan will love this.
