It is just so...so. I don't think I've ever listened to a song with such power, such emotions that just make tears well up to my eyes because it's the truth and...well..truth isn't always pleasant, isn't it? It does describe well the situation when Edward Cullen leaves Bella, in a way. It's beautifully sad, is terribly true and that's what makes it so human. It's inspiring, too. I think that, the fact of listening to a song that relates what you have experienced, sung with so much..I don't know..something, I'm sure you understand what I'm talking about, I can't find the word, just makes you write..even though it's crappy.. Often have I heard what people say about angels - that they are lieutenants of God and children of Good, that their entire bodies shimmer with love and compassion, that one kiss will be sufficient to heal any wound, may it be physical or mental. Yes, I have heard what people say. I have heard, and believed. Oh, the naive innocence of those who do not know! The sweet and child like ignorance of those who live, unaware of our Lord's lies, oblivious of the true nature of his winged companions! Seems to me like it describes a confrontation between the narrarator of the song and the "fallen angel". Wish I couldn't relate to this song but I can... Oh, well. Lots of people who listen to this song tell me, "This is so sad, the girl in the song got stabbed in the back by someone she cared about... that's terrible..." Yeah, the beginning kinda makes you feel like that, but in the end, it seems to me the lines "No escape now/No mercy no more/No remorse...", it means that "the girl" is confronting the fallen angel, and that "the girl" won in the end. This song is sad, but triumphant with revenge/avengement.
