------ performed by Within Temptation

Great Song! | Reviewer: nemo | 5/6/09

I first heard this song when I stole my sister's ipod. Wow. It really echoed within me when this guy told me he'd love to date me and then turned around and made out with my friend. Some friend. She knew I really liked him, but decided it would be fun to make out with him right in front of me. The vocals are great in this song, very powerful, they seem to echo within.

Thank-you! | Reviewer: Seri | 5/5/09

Thank-you Shadow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! Btw I didn't even know this song was in the Twilight series. Wow I'm outta the loop lol. Anyway the song is aswome and it is a great song and personally I don't beleive everything has to go by relgion and I don't see why everyone makes everything about relglion. Geez people can't we just leave things for what they are and stop making things into what they aren't? Like I've said I am a christian, but there is nothing worng with rock music! (I come from a very old fashion church too not a new contempary church.)
Thank-you for all the people out there with open minds and know how to judge things fairly!

ok | Reviewer: Shadow | 5/2/09

i understand where you all are coming from. i can see why someone would relate this to twilight and i can see why people would relate this to religion. but i do not believe that this is for either. for one, it came out before twilight, for two, i don't see anything relgion based in this song other than 'angel'. my interpretaion of the song is she fell in love w/ someone and then they betrayed her and she's singing to him. that's it. no twilight no religion.

seriously. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/22/09

okay, seriously? you guys need to get over Twilight. all people ever hear or see is 'TWILIGHT, TWILIGHT, TWILIGHT!' get it though your thick heads that maybe there are some people who like creative stories, not cliches. I'm not saying Twilight is a bad book; I'm saying that maybe you should be a bit more open-minded about people who aren't very into cliches.
and this song WAS NOT made for Twilight. there's hardly anything in the lyrics related to Twilight.
sure, Sharon is singing about some person (the "sparkling angel") that betrayed her, but isn't betrayal what a lot of songs are about? Betrayal, love and hate. that's what the world revolves on. It's a mere coincidence that Twilight vampires happen to "sparkle". Think: in most stories, poems, songs, etc, angels sparkle.
Think, people. We have brains for a reason.

idiots | Reviewer: stephenie semmence | 4/22/09

u lot r idiots. seriously. twilight is amazing and stephenie meyer is really nice. ive met her while on holiday in washington even before she wrote the twilight books. she dusnt deserve to have u assholes who have no life bitching about her behind her back. plus the fact that none of u actually know her... and this song is amazing. it was written before twilight so whoever thought this song was for twilight is incredibly dumb. Angels is a song about all the people that have preyed on others and then conned them or hurt them.

and ffs if i hear one more person call rock, metal goth or emo music satanic i will personally fucking strangle them. i am a wiccan (white witch) and pratice wicca which is not satanic in any way. and is anything but. seriously people. get a grip.

.... oh my GGGGGOOOOOOOOODDDDDD. | Reviewer: Helena | 4/19/09

Uno: Twilight is a horrible series, and thiis album was put out far before its publishing, but this is besides the point.
Look, as a (very) liberal Christian who inducted herself into the rock, and later, metal world, I'd like to say to my more fanatical "brethren": SHUT. UP. Sharon's not a witch; I have been told that she and Robert are actually areligious-meaning THEY DO NOT HAVE A RELIGION. GET OVER IT. Ok? Ok.

BEWILDERED and PISSED | Reviewer: Alex | 4/8/09

Twlight ok the song was from the ablbum The silent force Wich DID NOT come out on 2008-09 unless she was talking about the book then I doubt it was the movie. The band rocks and is not satanic, whoever thinks that is an idiot. Some bastard in the street told me that Within Temptation, After Forever, Epica and Nightwish were satanic and my only question was how the hell do you know these bands you fool.

NOT SATANIC STUPID CHR****TAINS!!!!!!

Read the lyrics asses.

Stop thinking with a church up your asses SINNERS!!!!

OHH PLEASE | Reviewer: Eowyn Shieldmaiden | 3/26/09

Shut up about twilght and witches. I love twilight, im a christian (but think witches are awesome) and this song has nothing to do with either. It also doesn't have to do with the devil. Look up the music video on youtube and you'll understand the plot. Its about a girl abandoned on the side of the road, actually Sharon den Adel, the lead singer, who gets picked up by an old preacher. The preacher then takes her to his house then he goes into the bathroom and gets some chlorofoam. While hes doing that she goes into another room and sees newspapers proclaiming the deaths of girls. The preacher (supposedly) is a demonic serial killer who dresses up in different costumes to get girls to his house. Then he comes up behind the girl and drugs her. He then drives her to the desert and is going to bury her but then she wakes up and turns out to be an angel. She confronts the demonic serial killer and he explodes and all the souls hes killed go into heaven. I think. This is my version so dont be hatin. One of my favorite songs and band. Love within temptation<3 Sarah M.E.

I agree | Reviewer: Seri | 3/25/09

I favor more on the side that this song is about a break up, but i'm just so sick of always having to defend rock music. Everyone hates because of the turth it points out. Wether it be the feelings we feel or another turth people would rather hide it than admint that such dark feelings exsit.

song(: | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/22/09

Wow, okay,

Uh, I'm pretty sure it's a a song about a girl talking about somebody and referring to them as an angel ( sparkling / fallen ) and saying that they tried to warn her and there the one that is always there for her because her boyfriend cheated on her,

But I don't care if I'm wrong, because it will always just be a good song witha meaning i like to imagine of it.

I love this song<3
