An Absoulute genius | Reviewer: C Niall Demensure | 3/26/2007
once again this song has proved that Weird Al Yankovic is an aboulute genius: making a series of non-sense phrases sound musical is quite a feat!
Wow... | Reviewer: Thisisnot Myrealname | 3/20/2007
I thought this song basically sucked before I realised that they were all palindromes... No offence to you Al. I think you're a legend. I got like 250 of your songs on my iPod. My friend told me at school that they were all palindromes and he only found out because they explained it on 'Spicks and Specks'. This song must have been a hard song to write and where did you come up with the idea? Weird Al all the way! Once again you have proved to me that you're a genius.
awesome | Reviewer: james iams | 2/22/2007
afteer you pointed out that each was a palindrom i went back and read them all...i just like to point out that that is awesome
Thanks, Al! | Reviewer: Peter Ferber | 11/11/2006
Dear Al Yankovic:
Thank you, once again, for sharing your brilliance and parody with us; and, I so get your point! Whereas many of Bob's songs tell coherent stories, some of them don't; and those in the latter category obfuscate the fact by their mesmerizing rhyme scheme. Watching the video of this song, I caught on midway through that each line is a palindrome; and I got so caught up in spelling each line backwards that only in the last frame, when the man holds up a sign with question marks on them, did I realize that, together, the lyrics have no continuity nor sensibility! Rhyming the lyrics obfuscates their discontinuity spectacularly. You have, Al, not only mimiced Bob's mannerisms and musical style, but also his penchant for lyrics that sometimes leave his audience scratching their heads at the meaning of what they just heard.
Yours in appreciation,
Peter Ferber
