A verse talked about how easy it was to be a kid, everything was free with no worries. The song also talks about how things change as you grow up, with more worries and problems. Now that we've seen all that, when we go back to hear the first part, we realise it talks about how things always seem better when you were younger, and you can never go back, so enjoy it while you can because you'll be looking back on it nostolgically soon. I wish more of Weezer's songs had meaning as opposed to "we are all on drugs" or "beverly hills". This song actually has meaning to it, not some senseless lyrics that talk about dying or cutting wrists. But new weezer songs are so-so, I do not like Beverly Hills. Jesus is coming, This is a message to him from Jonas...He's carrying the will of people and wants to explain how much they thank him for what he has given us...Play in your world and ignore it but he is coming...There won't be need for work much longer when the Rapture arrives.
