LYRICS ARE HARSH | Reviewer: Johnny Punish | 9/13/06 Musically, the song is interesting, for sure...and that grabs the attention of the listening. It's unique. But like most songs, listeners pay no attention the lyric and it's content. Artists usually write about personal experience and thus, I suspect Weezer was driving down Santa Monica Blvd know for it's male prostitution. It's tramatic to see the young boys selling out, mostly for drugs....thus the HASH PIPE lyric. This is only a guess however, this lyric is HARSH and sadly describes America today........spending billions on supporting Israel and fighting wars in Iraq and spending relatively nothing on education and programs for the youth....BULLSHIT! But this track off the album "The Green Album" presents their rock-ability. The deep, dirty riff which opens the track, alongside the angrogynous vocals catches your attention; and the regular grunts which crop-up every blink take us back to their grunge days.
