The Reviews about Hash Pipe (page 4/ 4)
------ performed by Weezer

Tricks on Santa Monica Blvd? Woah! LYRICS ARE HARSH | Reviewer: Johnny Punish | 9/13/06

Musically, the song is interesting, for sure...and that grabs the attention of the listening. It's unique.

But like most songs, listeners pay no attention the lyric and it's content. Artists usually write about personal experience and thus, I suspect Weezer was driving down Santa Monica Blvd know for it's male prostitution. It's tramatic to see the young boys selling out, mostly for drugs....thus the HASH PIPE lyric. This is only a guess however, this lyric is HARSH and sadly describes America today........spending billions on supporting Israel and fighting wars in Iraq and spending relatively nothing on education and programs for the youth....BULLSHIT! Looks like Weezer has just described this little piece of Americana and did it using a great musical melody.

This song has the most amazing bass. If there was ever a song to turn a classical music-player into a rock star wannabe, this is it. GO WEEZER!

Weezer in general | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/11/05

Okay well ive been listening to weezer for quite some time. They must be the most skilled rock out band ever. THey are like the beginning od the punk rock era. I do admit, i hate the punk rock. but weezer is so classy and original. I own maldorite, make believe, pinkerton, green album, and blue album. Basically EVERYTHING> and ive got my eye on a promo poster for make believe. so i say to all of those weezer hating people...... F.U.C.K Y.O.U.

This song sucks gorilla nuts, so does Weezer. I hope Weezer discontinues their music making in an effort to save all of our eardrums. On a more immature note, I hope they fucking die.

Hash-Pipe reminder | Reviewer: Pipey | 5/29/05

The Big Come-Back | Reviewer: Lew | 9/11/04

Weezer's first albums introduced their surf-rock and grunge backgrounds; a brave step for a debut album i must say.

But this track off the album "The Green Album" presents their rock-ability.
The deep, dirty riff which opens the track, alongside the angrogynous vocals catches your attention; and the regular grunts which crop-up every blink take us back to their grunge days.

This come-back single did and still has put Weezer on the rock list for years to come.
