Vince "Go Rest High On That Mountain" is the most beautiful song ever. My Grandson was murdered June 5, 2012 and we used this at his funeral, along with Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing you" his cousin picked that and Linkin Park "Leave Out All The Rest" he had posted a line from that song about a mouth before he was kill. He was a troubled kid but only after his "friends??????" got hi on drugs. He was shot 3 times in the chest. Him and I were very close and he lived with me several years. I play those 3 songs everynight before I go to bed and every morning before work I feel so much closer to him when I hear your song. I am having a hard time getting those feelings to stop,but I am very angry with God right now and I don't like the feeling. I feel so much better listening to your song. You are a great guy and have become very special to me. Bless You

Boy,, I bet that sure rattled some memories, Harry and his brother went into Chicago every week to rehurse and tape the show, in the late sixties, We lived in Weaton Ill. we worked as body men for Buick, he told me he had a nephew who was doing pretty good, I found it hard to belive you would ever be the fiddle player Harry and his brother was, time has won the story. I cant remember the tie betweeen okla. and Ill. My memorie isnt that good. It has been a while. for fifty years I have wanted to say hello.

This is for Janyce Demers,who wanted to know about "go rest high onthat mountain".It was originally written for Keith Whitley,who passed away in '89.Then,Vince's brother (I've forgotten his name,excuse me Vince)passed away,then it became even more poignant and meaningful to him.He included the lyrics on the back of the tribute album to Keith,entitled Kenucky Bluebird,but I'm not sure which album he recorded it on.

I am wondering where the idea of the song came from. My son died of suicide in July 2008 and at his funeral my daughter made a CD and played this song. Prices are listed per room per night. Meals are separate, plan on about $60.00 or so for your meals. For those who can help with the cost of the conference room. The amount is about $12.oo per person. We will receive this money as you arrive and are settled.

$89.00 per night per room (for those sharing the cost will be much less per night)

The money is due when you arrive. I will send an email within a week hopefully with the details so you can reserve your room.

The Hotel will shuttle from airport (free) plus we have members who have volunteered to help to. Please if at all possible arrive by 4:00 PM. FYI Some members are arriving on Thursday to make a longer weekend of it. Feel free to do so.
