Actually the song was done by John Brim and covered by VH, they covered songs on most of their albums. Tom Waits' song was written after the original was done by JOhn Brim. Heard it done recently in a Blues bar in Memphis...good stuff

The lyrics to this song are STEANGLY familiar to the Tom Waits song "Ice Cream Man" from Closing Time, 1973. Only, Tom waits is way cooler (pun intended)
