Ok well stop posting on here if u don't know what ur talking about. The song IS about Dallas' car crash, but look deeper into the lyrics and it's waaayyyy more than that. I'm not even gunna explain it. Underoath is known for their deep lyrics and making true fans look further inside to find the word of God. Dallas already made one song about the crash when he was still with the group and it shows how he feels AND even expresses the words of God. It's powerful stuff! It's called Alone in December on the changing of times album. It's one of my favorites.
I got something quite different | Reviewer: melanie | 11/5/09
I kind of felt like he killed her on purpose, not to help her get to god, but because he was angry and psychotic. Kind of like that song, Stan by Eminem. I'm pretty fucked up in the head, though, so i could be wrong. Also, underoath is a christian band, so idk.
Amazing. | Reviewer: David | 10/8/09
This is one of the most emotionally charged and intense songs I've ever heard. I've been a fan of Underoath for a long time, and I think this is probably near the top of the all time best. The pure intensity and meaning of the lyrics in this song are so... it's hard to describe that last line. It's just perfect. Fucking love Underoath.
By far the best band in their genre. That they're Christian makes it 10x better.

wtf is it with people seeing signs of the lord of the rings everywhere now a days? this is a song about a car crash, not some cheep-ass midget who shouldn't walk on the roads, becouse people won't see him and crash his ass. >_<
wait, maybe it could be about frodo being hit by a suicide dude with a handcart. n_n
problem solved :3
nonononono! | Reviewer: freddy | 8/24/09
this song is about a man who thinks his wife is so special that she doesn't deserve his love, she only deserves the love of God. So he takes her on a car ride and crashes on purpose so she can go to heaven and be with God.
I mean Dallas got the inspiration for it from his car crash, but clearly the song is not about that particular one.
"I've decided that tonight is the night
That I let love aside
Full speed ahead this seems to be the place
I've seen this once before
Planned perfection sought in my dreams
Hoping this would take you home"
those lyrics clearly show that the man in the song has thought about crashing his car before, and is intentionally going to do it. which is not what happened with Dallas.

Jesus, no one ever researches before they post. It's not about suicide, it's not about a murder-suicide, and it sure as hell is not about Lord of the fucking Rings. It's about Dallas's girlfriend, quite obviously; poor thing died in a car crash while Dallas was in the car. You drive every day, and you can get hit by a car/mauled by a dog/run over by a cement truck/shot and killed/kidnapped, raped and murdered/ have a heart attack/get hit over the head, develtop a concussion, and die all right when you walk out your front door.
And if you look, the lyrics clearly state the loss of one while another is left. It doesn't say "Now WE can walk hand in hand with Him", it says "Now YOU can walk hand in hand with him". He's not sure if he's alive or dead-or maybe he's wishing he'd driven a little slower ("I thought we'd be there by now.") And the cross casts "YOUR shadow" now "OUR" shadow.
God. People today.
this is where a title goes | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/10/09
i have no biased opinion at all about this song or band or person becuz i just started listening to these guys and to me it honestly sounds like he is trying to kill himself and someone else so they can be in heaven or w/e u want to call it.
He's right | Reviewer: ZIMBABWE | 7/5/09
This is about Dallas' girlfriend (fiancee as well I think, not sure though) dying in a car crash. "I made sure you were buckled in" is a pretty good tell of that, plus the title is supposed to address the dangers of everyday things in life, like driving your car, hence the title "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door".

You're all wrong.. This isn't a song about him committing suicide or killing his girlfriend so they can be happy. It's about a car accident Dallas was in with his girlfriend quite a while back.
Just look this stuff up. Don't be saying it's all about him being unhappy in life & wanting to kill himself
WTF?!?!?!? | Reviewer: Shawn | 5/11/09
The message is clear but the video doesn't show. I do not recall a car or a bridge in the video. But someone totally dies in a car crash or something! At least thats what i get from this song. Its also my favorite!
