Fantastic song | Reviewer: Josh | 10/2/08
Yea yea they are a christian hardcore band but what eves. This song is obviously about two guys that like each other and they start to get into a sexual r/ship( ones gay and ones bi) but then on of them starts to have a thing for the girl next door. As you can hear in the song two of the boys are singing the song. so the first one is say Tonight's your last chance to do exactly what you want to, and the second guy is saying, And this could be my night This is what makes me feel alive Makes you feel alive. this is there parting affair coz guy A is about to go after the chick, the start of the song is like the end of the event. thinking his inlove the chick he tries to go after but it doesnt work out hence the sheets tell of regret. the whole ignoring the truth is A) ignoring the chirstian anti-gay thing and B) coz they are having pre-marital sex which is also against the church. Chorus a is about the boys parting. The verse after the first chorus is about guy B) saying how he never matter and how he knew boy A) would go for the stupid chick next door. then he's telling him not to shake and that he was still always addicited to him. thats my analysis and it could be totally wrong but i like to think if of it like that
Christian? | Reviewer: Emily | 9/21/08
Why does it matter if they're christian? It doesn't mean every one of their songs has to taken as if it has a reference to god. I'm christian but every thing coming out of my mouth doesn't have to do with god.
This song has more to do with regretas of going into things to quickly,
and getting over it and working through it
not with god forgiving it.

For those of you obsessed with a religious aspect to the song drop it then think about it. For those of you without the religious thoughts on it think about them. You will more than likely notice the song different. Now I think the song is about the comings of the future for maybe a couple who regretted the past. I never thought wed make it out alive may imply the couple did last, but with a lot of things going wrong. Also it could also be interpreted that they did not have any conclusion to their relationship. I also think that the song takes place during sex. It is a love song, but the kind of love is fr you to decide. I also can see religious aspects to the song, and were your thoughts come from, but you would see it so much different if you didn't think of religion when you heard it. I believe the songs energy is great, and I personally love it. One of my favorite songs. Also remember music is for you to interpret, but keep the original thoughts the singer may have had in mind.

I peresonally love this song because it reminds me of my past. this song means so much to me and i dont really knowwhy but it dose. Underoath is not an emo band, they just try to explain how life can be pretty messed up,they maybe christian and sing some songs applying to jesus or god but it done not make them a bad band .i think this song is about love and sex. the song is expling how you may think that you found love when you really never and you mess up by having sex when your not in love.
i think you guys are doing a great job and plz dont stop! <3
i love this song and i love this band!

Just stop the religious things...
Religion ruined much more lives in its history than drugs or drinking.
You just have been taught the things you stated. You just have been guided to believe things without even questioning.
The orthodox church says: "Have faith and don't question"....
Peace out
Like fornication and then regret, but never finding the exit... | Reviewer: Arkhaz | 7/6/08
Of course is about sex, about messing it up and not knowing the truth:
-In this moment that we both ignore the truth
It's all over!-
Just like young people (later becoming adults), ignoring the truth they do as they want to please their desires (never pleasing them for good, just for a moment). Ignoring the fact they will die by living like that and never thinking about both the consequences of their bad choices and the consequence of living a life without even stopping to think about God for a second.
Just living for their own desires, never asking if there's more than that...
Also, brushed in red...living in black & white may apply to someone who is christian but is not living as such. Living like the rest of the world (according to the title), however they both ignore the truth so it's about the previously mentioned things!
It's sad the fact humanity is behaving worse and worse, young people are doing even more stupid things than before and ruining their lives with drugs, etc. Maybe it's not their fault, maybe they don't know what path to follow because they ignore there's that one we already know: Jesus.
This world is about to end, few years left for it and humanity is doing a bigger effort for it to happen sooner. Instead of turning to God, accepting we've been doing it all wrong and asking for His Salvation (which He already gave to us through Jesus) we do the opposite...
I like the fact Underoath is not singing as if everything was right, but the truth: This world is disgusting because we've turned it into what it is by now. They don't avoid talking about things like raping, drugs, theft, abortion, etc. Those are real problems humanity is facing today and the only exit is through the narrow gate: Jesus.

So many interpretations | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/2/08
I peresonally think that this song is about the love and loss of something you held the closest to your heart. But, when my friend heard it for the first time, she thought it was about a boy raping a girl 'cause he was in love with her but she didn't feel the same way.
After hearing my friends' opinion, we came to a conclusion that, this song basically tells a story of how two people can mistake something for true love, and rush into something they don't understand; just to figure out their mistake in the end and be afraid their actions will be 'looked down upon' making the lines:
"Can you feel your heart beat racing
Can you taste the fear in her sweat?
You've done this wrong, it's too far gone
These sheets tell of regret
I admit that I'm just a fool for you
I'm just a fool for you"
There are so many interpretations of this song, and you are the only one who can find what it really means.

That this song is about sex and about not doing what Gods wants you to do, doesn't mean that Underoath's music is not christian. It's die-hard christian. They don't sing sweet songs about how they are perfect christians, but about things that go wrong. I sin, you sin, we all sin. They make music about it to show their regrets about their sins and to help other people stay on the right track. When a christian finds himself in bed with another girl it doesn't mean he's no christian anymore, it means that he has sinned once again and that he will probably find his conscience coming back at him. That's what this song is about. And I love the song :)
