Think Christianity. A boy brushed red. Think of red. Okay? Blood. A boy brushed red. Boy brushed red would refer to a young man (teenager) who was covered by the blood of Christ (meaning a saved Christian). Living in black and white. We live in a world that tells us everything is relative, when in fact, it's all black and white. The rest of the song is the stories of this boy's life and the struggles he faced in the world.
