That is what TRUE Christians (in contrast to FALSE ones) DO. As prophesied, most people who CLAIM to be "worshipers" of the God of the Bible and disciples of his Son the Christ during these "last days" are FALSE and COUNTERFEIT to that claim. The disloyalty, disobedience, and hypocrisy to God's own words that FALSE "Christians" have demonstrated to the world is of the same sort that the apostate ancient Israelites practiced. Those disloyal persons from long ago walked about CALLING themselves God's people, even though they were grossly disobedient to him, indulging much in injustice and IDOLATRY. In seven years time, I have observed that there are MANY FALSE "Christian" U2 IDOLATERS - and among them are MANY FALSE "Christian" preachers, pastors, "religious experts" [NOT], reverends and priests teaching their "flocks" that same Armageddon-death inviting IDOLATRY. Again and again, many such FALSE "Christian" IDOLATERS have publically exhibited - as history for all time now - sickening DISDAIN, DISRESPECT, and DISREGARD for the words of God Almighty and Jesus Christ himself that contradict the anti-scriptural, antichrist, permissive and sinful-desire-convenient teachings of their Bono and U2 gods. Like the ancient Israelites that had gone apostate-to-God also, todays FALSE "Christians" - like the FALSE worshipers of God back then too - TAKE THE LEAD in persecuting TRUE, scripturally OBEDIENT Christians who DO AS CHRIST did, and speak Jehovah-Yahweh's words and warnings with boldness as needed. Being able to quote some Bible verses is NOT THE SAME as UNDERSTANDING, OBEYING, RESPECTING, and APPLYING THE WHOLE of THEM. Satan the Devil and his demons know the contents of the Bible. Through works of propaganda, with the intent of misleading as many people as possible AWAY from "knowing" and obeying God though, they do all they can to see that His words and will are MISREPRESENTED. That meshes well with that most people now don't really want to obey God anyway. They want to fornicate, get drunk, gamble, be greedy, entertain themselves with violence, and/ or revel in group false-pride of FALSE religions and nationalism, etc. That is how it is with MANY false "Christian" (and even atheist and straight out spiritist [i.e. witch, theosophist, etc] U2 fans. Over the years, I have observed many such persons react with much PANIC towards scriptural truth and warnings against deadly-wrong spiritual teachings from mainly Bono. You might have been amazed to see how LOW and despicably immoral-SLANDEROUS some of those FALSE "Christian" "FIGHTERS AGAIN GOD" and his Son were. Jesus wholly respected and did all he could to preach and teach his Father's words to others - including very strong and urgent words of warning. (You need to read Ezekiel 3:17-21. Paul later referred to those words at 1Corinthians 9:16) Jesus DID NOT do as many FALSE "Christians" and those who have been MISLED towards FALSE "Christianity" infamously do today, which is TO BE ASHAMED OF GOD'S WORDS and standards. Jah prophesied that there would come a time when many people WOULD NOT PUT UP WITH HIS spirituallly HEALTHFUL and true TEACHINGS; but who would seek out FALSE spiritual teachers, who would tell them what THEY WANT to hear instead. "For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories." I'm a true bible-believing Evangelical. Yet I listen to U2. Is there anything wrong with that? I even listen to - gasp - metal and hiphop! Am I going to hell? HARDLY! It does not hinder my faith. Like Paul said: "All things are permissible, but not all good." Christians have freedom to be free from restrictions. As long as what they do isn't a sin or doesn't cause them to sin, they're fine. More is Needed | Reviewer: theresa1 | 8/24/08 Its good to have full appreciation for our children as being miraculous gifts from the Creator; but they aren't meant to be objects of worship rather than the One who created them, are they? Parents have an obligation to the Maker and a responsibility to their children to teach their children how to "find" Jehovah-Yahweh God the Creator, and teach them the life-or-death importance of learning and obeying his words, will, and spirit. Without that knowledge and adherence to it, soon even children will pass away forever along with a corrupt world system. The first persons besides themselves that parents need to be concerned with helping to "save" in this world ARE THEIR OWN CHILDREN - as best as they can. The ONLY WAY to do that is to teach them God's scriptural truth. The WORST THING that a parent could do to their children now, during this last part of the "last days" would be to loosely turn them over to just go along with flow of the spirit of Satan's world. That would be to let them spiritually flounder to their everlasting death; to let them just bob and float and go nowhere in the dying sea of man - going along with whatever "wind" of "spiritual" teaching becomes "popular" or trendy next. Whereas such ways have the appeal of seeming "peaceful" and "easy-going", they are designedly undermined by spiritism and the price for that, which is death. Bono has NEVER YET pointed the Way and stood firm for the one true religion that does exist: The terms of worship set out by God Almighty himself in his own words. Instead, there has been the continual and now very irritating drone of this song (and others) running down the idea that God DOES HAVE ONE TRUE, GLOBAL, UNIFIED RELIGION ON THIS EARTH, just as his holy Scriptures have prophesied and described. Parents have an obligation to God and a responsibilty to their children to do the best they can to care for them physically, emotionally-mentally, and spiritually. So, please, take the time to learn of and then teach your child God's scriptural truth. U2's lyrics and philosophy are in no way any substitute for that; and they have even led some other people's children AWAY from lifesaving truth from God that they need to have a strong handle on - both knowing and obeying it - in order to continue living past Armageddon Day and on into the New World here. Your child NEEDS you, as her parent, to become firmly rooted in TRUE faith based on Jah's words. She NEEDS TO SEE YOU AS AN EXAMPLE of someone who honest-heartedly and rightly SOUGHT their Maker and his will, FOUND IT (because God has purposely MADE IT AVAILABLE TO ALL) and then HONEST-HEARTEDLY and righteously CHOSE TO FOLLOW THROUGH and OBEY that will. That is what your child NEEDS FROM YOU, because, as you can maybe tell, the majority of this world certainly has NO real interest in safeguarding and nuturing TRUE (based on the words of the Creator himself) spirituality within your child. The masses, under the influence of the ruler of the authority of the air of this world now (Satan) would rather see people (and children are a special target) very dumbed-down, apathetic, brainwashed, and even hostile and rebellious towards teachings of truth from God's words. Parents who are truly interested in their child's spirituality have a very hard fight on their hands now, in these last, critical days. If you do not help them "FIND" what they NEED to KNOW, chances are, no one else will. It is what your child needs the MOST from you, and urgently so, more than anything. I taught her Still Haven't Found and it struck me like a bolt of lightning that I had found what I was looking for; she was right next to me. Soon, only those who worship the true God, on his own scriptural terms - including his standards that apply EVERYWHERE, which means in the realm of music and lyrics too - will be left alive on this earth to continue singing. Jah Says to Grab Ahold of and Obey HIS TRUTH NOW, not "Later" | Reviewer: theresa1 | 8/4/08 (II) It is also an UTMOST FALSEHOOD that the truth of God - that has totally purposes, even REQUIRES humans to learn and obey - cannot be FOUND "in this system of things." OPPOSITELY, Jehovah through Jesus Christ stated this: "YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE." (John 8:32) "Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth." (Jesus praying to Jehovah his Father in regard to his followers, at John 17:17) Yes, the time God REQUIRES humans to come to know and obey him is NOW, BEFORE the end of this old system. That is because, again, come Armageddon Day, only those found by God "knowing" and obeying the scriptural truth about him WILL SURVIVE. (2Thessalonians 1:6-9) "God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him MUST worship with spirit and truth.” (John 4:24) Christendom (FALSE, counterfeit, Scripture-denying "Christianity") teaches the death-making Satanic lie that it is okay for humans to plod/ "journey" along through life, doing whatever they want to (fornicating, being idolaters, etc.) "in the name of God" and still think that everything will be okay for everyone someday - that, "later" is the only time people will learn ("FIND") God's truth and be held accountable to it. However, THAT IS AN ANTI-SCRIPTURAL LIE, A DEADLY ONE - now matter how popular it is in the realm of FALSE (antiscriptural, easy-going, antichrist "worship"), or how much Bono and U2 (with their IDOLATROUS FANS) have tried to pass off that same philosophy to MILLIONS, especially in recent years. God HAS SET A TIME LIMIT for how long he will tolerate people refusing to listen to, learn, and OBEY scriptural truth about him, his purposes, and what he requires of humans. "And he made out of one [man] every nation of men, to dwell upon the entire surface of the earth, and HE DECREED THE APPOINTED TIMES and the SET LIMITS OF THE DWELLING OF [MEN], FOR THEM TO SEEK GOD, if they might grope for him and REALLY FIND HIM, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us." (Acts 17:26,27) So, DO NOT BELIEVE THE APATHETIC/ "ASLEEP"/ spiritually self-satisfied or spiritually inebriated, or those who would admonish others to ignore or "leave" Jehovah God's TRUTH and pure worship "behind" - teaching that His way is of little value or importance, or is even an obstacle to a "better life"/ "social justice" today. Also, learning and obeying Jehovah/ Yahweh's TRUTH NOW DOES BENEFIT PEOPLE'S LIVES NOW. It benefits people NOW to have a good relationship with their own Maker NOW. That brings SPIRITUAL PEACE, spiritual health, spiritual wellness, SPIRITUAL STRENGTH NOW. The TRUTH of God, WHICH HE HIMSELF HAS PURPOSED TO BE MADE KNOWN NOW, ESPECIALLY in these last pre-Armageddon days of "critical times, hard to deal with" (2Timothy 3:1) DELIVERS PEOPLE >>> HOPE <<< BASED ON WHAT IS TRUE and REAL. That HOPE CONQUERS DESPAIR, and so fortifies people to deal with difficulties now (instead of drowning in alcohol, jumping off bridges, etc.). There is NO song or teaching based on man (and/ or demon)-made philosophies whatsoever that has the power or ability to deliver what God's own words (or, secondarily) songs/messages of TRUTH based on them has. There will be NO mass "saving" of humanity. Though it is popular, wishful thinking - again, the "everything will be okay for everyone because 'someday' everyone will understand; so meanwhile, everyone continue to be laissez-faire towards God and his will" philosophy is NOT what the Creator's words teach. Everything will NOT be "okay" for everyone. JUSTICE will be served. Come Armageddon Day, which is SOON, there will be NO EXCUSE LEFT for those (in general) persisting in "believing" and living THEIR OWN DESIRE-SERVING WAY, denying messages (including WARNING ones) of scriptural truth, and yet proclaming they "still haven't found what [they're] looking for." Jehovah God, who easily reads people's hearts and minds, will call the bluff of anyone doing so - and will follow through on his stated purposes to remove any such persons from off of this earth forever then - to make way for his new world society of righteous and HONEST-HEARTED people here then, after Armageddon. It will be a world made up of persons who gratefully submit to obeying their own Maker, INSTEAD OF CONTINUING TO HOLD TO AN "EXCUSE" that "they still haven't found what [they're] looking for." Read it, don't read into it. basically, as we all feel (which beckons the question of life itself), no matter what you do, how rich or poor, what you gain, what you leave behind, what you decide, where you go, where you end up, what you experience, or what you believe- THIS LIFE here on earth, in this system of things, will bring you no answers and no sense of relief or accomplishment. no matter what. and we need to wait for it to end because we will all experience what it means in the next coming of things. The "NEW" system of things. after all of this is gone, done and over with, we will understand. you won't "find what you're looking for" in this system. the end. and p.s. songs have different meanings to everyone, despite what the composer was originally feeling at the time he/she wrote it, EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN THINKING MECHANISM. that's the beauty of music and lyrics (AND LIFE, PERIOD), the songs mean different things to each different person, and everyone has a right to feel something- whether it be that they think the song is apostate garbage or that they feel like the song speaks to them in the sense that they are in a relationship with someone who they have done so much for and feels like they haven't gotten much in return. SAME AS THE FREEDOM OF RELIGION AND BELIEFS (AND THE ABILITY TO THINK! imagine that! ) whatever you think the song means is fine- don't push your belief onto someone else, because your garble of your own view may just ruin the simple fact that they like the way the song spoke to them. I am a musician and I write songs to mean certain things to me. When other people come up to me and tell me how the song spoke to them and made them feel, sometimes it is completely different from what the song means to me. But I would NEVER in a million years tell them that what they feel is WRONG, because that would make ME the one who is wrong. I love the fact that the song moved them one way or another and spoke to them, period. Who am I to interrupt that feeling?! Look back at the title of the song, 'I still haven't found what I'm looking for'. So no he has not found his personal savior and the meaning of life in Jesus Christ. He still hasn't found what he's looking for. He has tried religion, he has tried love, he has tried sin and materialism, but once again still hasn't found what he's looking for. A Brainwashing Tool to Make Throngs Vulnerable to Accept Charismatic Teachings | Reviewer: theresa1 | 7/29/08 I couldn't disagree more. This is the OPPPOSITE of a personal prayer: It is a MASS-MEDIA-ED spiritual view statement - A PURPOSED SUGGESTION -of a strongly followed (yes, IDOLIZED) charismatic leader; and one that has had a very real, very spiritually SICKENING and DEADLY (come Armageddon Day) effect on throngs of his fans/ followers. Using an extremely persuasive combination of charismatic leadership along with the easily heart-and-mind permeating power of suggestions setto catchy music; Bono and U2 USED THIS SONG, IN CONCERT, TO PREPARE AUDIENCES TO ACCEPT greater ANTI-SCRIPTURAL and ANTI-CHRIST teachings that would follow during Vertigo shows. I stood next to ("ON") the FRONT RAIL of Bono's B-stage EIGHT times during that last tour. (Plus THREE MORE times 1-2 persons off from that front rail; and ONCE, in Mexico, well....still close, but at least several people away). Let me try to explain what I did eyewitness. You see, I had HIGH CONCERNS over the effect of tis song on the masses. I was in the front, very close the stage. I PURPOSELY TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT ALL OF THE PEOPLE FOLLOWING BONO'S LEAD TO REPEATEDLY SING-CHANT THIS: "But I still haven't found what I'm looking for." Bono as been exposed to the religions of the world, and his lyrics reveal that he has significant scriptural knowledge. He also had me, writing for nearly three years "solid" on zootopia.com, pouring out scriptural truth, night and day. (That website banned me about the same time the new album - with a song called "Yahweh" came out [I had written quite a bit about the scriptural truth and value of God's own personal name, Jehovah/ Yahweh]...) Still, Bono CHOSE to proclaim to millions that HE "still [hasn't] found what [he's] looking for". BUT, BEYOND THAT, I WATCHED HIM get stadiums and arenas-full of other humans beings to AGREE, full-throated and with applause, that THEY TOO CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT ANY BODY of TEACHINGS ABOUT GOD THAT THEY HAVE ENCOUNTERED THUS FAR to be TRUE RELIGION (God's own truth about himself, his purposes, what he REQUIRES of humans/ his own terms of worship, and what he holds out as the TRUE HOPE for the solution mankind's problems.) Bono did this during the SAME critical time Christ's own brothers and their spiritual companions (all Jehovah/ Yahweh's true scriptural messengers and servants) were working to spread God's own scriptural truth - to draw people, worldwide, to pure, true worship - to the scripturally-described global one true religion (which is also TRUE Christianity). Certainly, out of the millions of persons, in multiple countries, moved to sing along with Bono that THEY "still haven't found what [they're] looking for", there were plenty of persons whom Jah's own servants had, with much effort, brought news of God's own truth to. Yet, there stood arenas and stadiums full of people - tens of thousands at a time even (to total more than 3.5 million) - with an untold number of them loudly vocalizing DENIAL of scriptural truth from Jesus Christ and God Almighty themselves - to sing along with, join together with the Bono god and the denial of these things. Yes, I turned around and saw the massive crowds all around - from about the same perspective as Bono. 'Looked way up, back, the sides, and all around. I also looked at Bono, like, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THESE PEOPLE!!??/ HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ALL OF THESE PEOPLE!!!??? What I observed was masses of people, for the love of Bono/ U2/ U2-cool/ FALSE "Christian" U2-cool, then, DENY CHRIST and DENY whatever of God's scriptural truth (with the true religion it forms) they knew of. It was something that their inborn consciences should have deterred them from, but for nearly everyone in those arenas/stadiums, the urgings of the charismatic leader with the moving music won out. I watched, listened to, and felt even tens of thousands of persons at once CHOOSE to be persuaded by Bono, with this song, to DENY the existence of and the righteousness of following God's own scripturally described one PATHWAY to everlasting life. Or, in other words, I watched, listened to, and felt even tens of thousands of people at a time CHOOSE - along with Bono, with this song used as a motivational/ persuasive force - worship of God (whatever that may be) OTHER THAN TRUE, scriptural worship on God's own given terms: "the broad and spacious road LEADING OFF INTO DESTRUCTION." As I wrote before, elsewhere, I felt this must have been what it was like to watch and listen to Jim Jones talk his crowds into mass suicide, by way of their sweet purple soft drink. Only here, what crowds were being talked into (with sweet music) was spiritual poisoning, spiritual suicide - which can soon mean permanent physical death forever, come Armageddon Day/ God's own Day of Justice against all those denying and disobeying him and his one true Way. Again, after the crowds submitted to a more mentally-spiritually vulnerable and maleable state by this song and its suggestions - they were "well prepared" to accept further spiritual-mental teachings from Bono THAT THEY MIGHT OTHERWISE HAVE RESISTED MORE, such as: That people's "ideas" about God should NOT be more important to them than how they treat and serve their fellow MEN (the "creation"); that the person of Jesus Christ [the Son of God/ mankind's Ransomer and only Mediator to God/ Jehovah's High Priest/ earth's Highest Reigning King/ and the second highest-in-command in the universe] is merely on equal footing with the human Muhummad; that corrupt Christendom, modern Judiasm, and Islam (as well as any kind of paganism or spiritism - as pictured in the "Yahweh" lightshow) are all spiritually valid and acceptable to God; and that the very holy name of God himself (Jehovah/Yahweh) should be blasphemed with a parade of pagan and spiritistice IDOL IMAGES (including the "COEXIST" idol icon). Today's "ark" sits ready, doors open, signs pointing to it, everywhere. Those who listened to and obeyed God (rather than antiscriptural teachings and philosophies of men) will be carried through that upcoming global cataclysm - WITH OR WITHOUT U2 and the multitudes that denied God and Christ during performances of this song and the Vertigo tour shows, and who carry on in that same antiscriptural spirit. Follow the Christ to everlasting life - Bono and U2 will NOT be able to carry you through God's storm, to "reach the shore."
