I see nothing theologically wrong with it because it's not teaching, it's not preaching, it's nothing more than Bono's personal psalm. And everything he wrote resonates with me and with God's Word (read the Psalms). TRUE Christianity has NO SHARING with FALSE, POP-"Christianity" | Reviewer: theresa1 | 7/25/08 The previous is a stark example of why FALSE "Christianity" is especially CONDEMNED by both God and Christ and will soon be utterly destroyed (by God, Christ, and an army of heavenly spirit beings) forever. Notice the disdain for and degradation of actual scriptural words and application. Certainly, FALSE "Christianity" has no problem with "nice" scriptural teachings, such as "God is love"; but, when faced with DISCIPLINING scriptural teachings and scriptural WARNINGS from God against wrongdoing (i.e. IDOLATRY, drunkenness, FORNICATION, that homosexuality is condemned by God, blasphemy, etc.); FALSE "Christianity" RETREATS from "following Christ" and goes into the prophesied mode of disobedience and hate for God's words. That too-typical reaction can be observed worldwide more and more worldwide, as the preaching of God's scriptural WARNINGS along with the good news completes its covering of the earth before Armageddon hits. Previous poster, those of my religion ALSO participate in "prison ministries". But, we are the only ones teaching TRUE, scriptural Christianity and true scriptural worship of Jehovah/Yahweh the Creator rather than the pop-standard, Scripture-denying/disdaining/disobeying and hypocritical "Christianity of the world that now has impending punishment from God hanging over it all as a winepress soon to squash rotten grapes from a bad, bad vine that has to go. That is already God's own scriptural JUDGMENT. (Consult Revelation) There is NO SHARING between light and darkness. There is NO spiritual sharing between FALSE, pseudo, prophesied-apostate-to-God "Christianity" and TRUE, scriptural Christianity/ worship of Jehovah either - so there is no "we", at this time, to speak of as to joint spiritual efforts or a common path. IT is IMPOSSIBLE that anyone showing public HATE and disdain for God's own scriptural words and WARNINGS is a Christian at all. Why? Jesus Christ, the SON of God taught that God's words MEANT LIFE. "Man must live, not on bread alone, but on EVERY UTTERANCE coming forth from Jehovah's mouth." Jesus' TRUE followers, true Christians regard the word of God in THE SAME WAY as our exemplar. Further, while FALSE "Christians" cowardly "shrink back" from upholding, standing firm for, loyally obeying, and preaching God's words to others (particularly the disciplining and warning ones, and also those that condemn common sins tolerated by and carried on in Christendom, such as nationalism and fornication); TRUE Christians, TRUE followers of Christ OBEY him and his Father and do just as Christ taught and commanded: We preach God's scriptural blessing and his own (already made) scriptural JUDGMENT and WARNING messages to the world - pleasantly when possible, but boldly and firmly when needed. Either way, to try to REACH people and reason from the Scriptures with them so that they might leave their FALSE religious lies and wicked practices behind - so that they may LIVE through God's upcoming Day of Armageddon instead of DYING FOREVER that Day IS EXTENDING TRUE LOVE FOR NEIGHBOR. It is a disciplining mode of love, but it IS love - the delivery of life-benefitting, LIFE-SAVING LOVE. It is LOVE - of the most important sort - that FALSE, nominal-only "Christianity" HAS FAILED TO PUT FORTH TO THE WORLD. Yet they mill about on earth, identifying themselves with the personage of Jesus Christ, whose name they blaspheme; and whose actual teachings they voice hatred for and act out rebellion against. False "Christians" also take the lead in persecuting TRUE, scripturally described and obedient Christians, who DO obey Christ and faithfully and loyally make God's messages known throughout this earth. (That too was prophesied.) That is why, when God soon intervenes to destroy all FALSE religions (aka, "Babylon the Great"), Christendom (FALSE "Christianity") will merit God and Christ's special wrath. They have blasphemed not only God Almighty's name, but also his Son's name and the Holy Bible; and have made trouble for Christ's brothers and other TRUE worshipers-servants of Jehovah/ Yahweh God. (See 2Thessalonians 1:6-9; and Revelation Chapters 17 and 18). Again, as a loving, neighborly warning, LEAVE FALSE, anti-scriptural and antichrist, prophesied-apostate, God-hated and Christ-hated, demon-serving "Christianity" BEHIND, BEFORE IT IS SOON TOO LATE. Proceed to learn the scriptural truth about God and Christ then, that "means everlasting life." Christ's ransom for the forgiveness of sins and thus everlasting life will ONLY be applied to those "exercising faith", which means OBEYING him (John 3:16, ALSO SEE John 3:36 to go along with that. Verify that also with 2Thessalonians 1:6-8 and Ezekiel 3:17-21, again, as above [and there is more]). "Once saved, always saved" is a incidious spiritual lie that completely counters the value of Christ's sacrifice: It is a teaching that, though popular, leads people to sin against the holy spirit, enraging the spirit of undeserved kindness with contempt, bringing the value of Christ's sacrifice and shed blood down to "ordinary value" - one to take advantage of by TRAMPLING IT OVER, ABUSING the provision God made of the sacrifice of his own Son's human life for the forgiveness of sins (with all of the pain and suffering that involved for both Jesus and his Father [as he looked on]. Persons who thus excuse themselves for willful practices of serious sins, PRESUMING FORGIVENESS on the basis of Jesus shed blood - that their practice of such sins will be "covered", atoned for, be paid for anyway by the sacrifice Christ made (in pain) with his human life are thus scripturally warned by God that such a practice, with an inherent lack of any real repentance, may indeed be "sinning against the holy spirit" - a crime against both God and Christ that is UNFORGIVEABLE. There is no longer any sacrifice left to cover that sins of such a person, for their willfully trampling upon and abusing the most precious provision Jehovah-Yahweh made for this purpose. (Please read Hebrews 10:26-31.) Throughout the Bible, beginning to end, God lays out just warnings for even currently true worshipers of him not to fall, not to turn against him. Anyone found disobedient to him (like most of this world currently is - including Christ-disobedient, FALSE "Christians") will NOT be forgive, but KILLED by God and Christ come Armageddon Day (very soon). I'm hoping to return the favor that some people did for me many years ago now: They warned me that I had been misled by the global propaganda machinations of Satan's world empire of FALSE religions, Christendom (FALSE "Christianity"), in my case, in particular. Noah, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, other prophets of old, Jesus Christ himself, the apostles, etc. - when all of these persons have boldly, obediently WARNED their fellow humans beings, as per God's commands, that they had better repent and turn around so as to meet God's standards rather than have to be justly destroyed by Him - what would you say to THEM? Would you urge them to "drop their bag of bricks" - God's urgent warning messages - and just "go with the flow" of society in general (become spiritually numbed-down and dumbed-down, apathetic), so as to "enjoy life"????????? I strongly urge you to "leave it behind", indeed - whatever church, counselors, or acquired philosophies may have led you to believe in such a mode. (I do understand, empathize, and sympathize with you also in that I know U2 have, on the one hand [though ripping it down with the other], promoted and reinforced FALSE "Christianity" to masses of their fans too.
