"Oh and by the way the "City of Blinding Lights" is London the first time they went there."
Nope, its about New York^^ - They played there a few days/weeks (?) after 911, and bono saw some lights, and the through that was beautyfull :)

The song is simply amazing. The uplifting intro, the Edge`s ringing guitar, the lyrics, and Bono`s warm deep voice. I think it`s a very deep song to a great extent... and by the way, the song is about New York after U2 came back for the first time since 9/11 and the saw the tears in their fans` eyes..

The intro is the best part | Reviewer: Malena | 4/9/06
Um... I love this song, but I don't think it's their best. It's not very deep, but that doesn't matter, 'cause it cathes you anyway! I think my favourite patr of the song is the instrumental intro. IT'S BEAUTFUL!! The melody is... incredible.

Just like everyone of you, I think the song is great and one of the best U2 has ever written. However, I'd like to express my dissaproval to the guy that wrote in his review all that thing about this beeing a religious song. I even took the time to read Revelation 21:10, and the only thing both texts have in common is that they talk about a great city. I would even say that the song does in a way even discourage tha practice of faith and religion (remember the last line:"Blessings are not just for the ones who kneel, luckily")My interpretation is that they're saying that God exists, but that he's there for everyone, and that even if you don't pray or kneel, he'll help you just like all the others. And that's not exactly the christian thought, is it?

What happened to the beauty inside of me? It's still right there, Bono, it hasn't gone anywhere.
Oh, I've wanted to say that for so long.
I don't have words to describe this song. Great, wonderful, incredible...they all fall short. City of Blinding Lights, although it does remind you of "Streets", is very different in many senses. I like this one better. (But then again, that's just me!)
I like the fact that it speaks about innocence - hehe, I love it when songs speak about innocence. It's just that not everyone knows how to express it. U2 do. The lyrics are very touching.
Oh and by the way the "City of Blinding Lights" is London the first time they went there.

Amazing | Reviewer: Peter Rees | 7/30/05
Wow this song really sums up U2's Christian faith; the parallels with The New Jerusalem are awesome and it's as if Christ himself is being sung about. Read Revelation 21:10.
Definitly the most blatantly Christiany album they've done yet and amazing too.
