Great song | Reviewer: matt1996 | 8/18/2006

Have read in several places that this was an early version of Beautiful Day. I think it is better. For some reason it reminds me of Polonius' farewell speech to Laertes in Act I of Hamlet. Kind of giving some life instructions. So I always thought that Bono might be giving some of his outlook on life for his kids (and our) use. I was planning on using this song as background for a video of my kids.

Beautiful | Reviewer: Balfron | 5/30/2005

A really good song this, in typical U2 style the song is catchy, almost gimmicky but has an underlying fullness and wholesomeness so rare in today's pop culture. The song, for me at least, symbolises a transitional period. The song embraces technology, with Bono's voice distorted and computer effects present throughout the song, but has the feel of an All That You Can't Leave Behind song. Pop to ATYCLB was a big change, and i suspect (and this is purely guess work) that this song was left of ATYCLB because U2 couldn't manage to leave Pop behind.

Anyway,a beautiful song obviously written from the heart, Always is almost a mission statement from U2. Well worth getting your hands on, u2 fan or not.
