This album gave me the courage to change my life... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/16/08

Living in New York, a married mother of three in an unhappy marriage was my life when this album came out. I listened to it over and over again and heard the message that I needed to experience my Beautiful Day and Walk On. It's a fantastic album. I highly recommend it for thought provoking lyrics and songs you will love to sing along with. BTW...I am now very happily remarried to a wonderful younger REAL man and fantastic stepfather to my children.

wish I'd paid more attention to this album when it was released | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/2/05

I am a fan of several works by U2, especially The Joshua Tree, but I had not really gotten past the couple commercial singles and actually listened to this album until a few days ago. I am sorry I wasted all that time before listening! While there are a couple songs I have yet to get into, such as the slow, low-toned "New York", this album overall is great. Every bit as complex and well-rounded as some of their mid-career, more popular work. It deals with death and social issues, but as a whole is an upbeat, energizing album that is a lot of fun to listen to(and, let's face it, sing along with). Highly recommended as a top 3 in any U2 starter kit.
