Emo is just a genre this is thrash metal not emo. Even though some of they're lyrics are depressing doesn't change it's genre.

I think anyone that has a problem with Matthew Kiichi Heafys scream needs to die. trivium is the best band EVER. i love this song, and i love every song (except for the ones on "the crusade" MATTHEW KIICHI HEAFY IS FUCKING GOD!!!. AND IS NOT EMO. Emos are gay! i punched one one time and he cried.

i have to say as a band trivium are ace and when the guy sings i love it. but personally i'm not a huge fan of his scream, don't get me wrong I'm not an anti screamer. i love scream like Oli Sykes i'm just not a big trivium scream fan.. as a result when we do this with my band in 3 days i'm going to sing it instead of scream

This is my favorite Trivium song. I mean there are so many good songs by them, but this song just has that extra edge that gets you into the headbanging thrash mode. Can't wait to see these guys live! \m/

Dude, 2 things you need to get straight, emo's are wannabes and wouldn't write a song which has meaning like this. Their version would be, I can't take the pain any more, so i grab the closest sharp thing. Befor i know it blood. or sumit gay like that. 2nd thing, this is like music for people who listen to metal, AKA metal heads, any on ecan be a metal head, yeah i know even chavs if they are cool enough.

Jesus, does it matter whether the lyrics are 'emo' or not. The music is kick ass, the song is amazing, and I can't imagine how explosive this song would be in concert. So Matt gets stuff off his chest about love, its not like no one else has.

Trivium are metal core, and this song rocks by the way. and everyone calls this song emo. i dont know, wat the fuck is emo anyway why was it only made up in the last, lets say 3 or 4 years, i dont hate these "emos" because if you ask me the word emo is just another way for the "popular" pretty boys to pay out people who dont dress and act the same as them. I don't know i just wanted to share my views on "emos". Oh and this song is sweet, so is "pull harder on the strings of your matyr" i recommend it.
