The Reviews about Honky Tonk Badonkadonk (page 1/ 2)
------ performed by Trace Adkins

DONKEY KONG?!?!?!?!?!? | Reviewer: Derek Michaelis | 11/11/2008

Why in the hell did Trace mention Donkey Kong?!?! Its a country song! Oh and by the way believe me, Donkey Kong doesnt have ANYTHING going on! This song is still funny as hell though! I also agree with Toby: our world is WAY too serious!

American Taste | Reviewer: Music Fan | 5/31/2007

Hula Hoops, poodle skirts, mullets, bell bottoms, tie-dye, the Macarena. America has often been quick to embrace some truly hideous things. Being number one in this country doesn't necessarily mean much. And although, it's horribly cliche and mildly offensive to women, I DO like this song.

I absolutely agree with Bob on the whole downloading thing. There are many ways to legally download the single without shelling out for the whole (substandard) disc for just the one song that will soon be no more than a guilty pleasure at best. Anyone in the music business who does not embrace the download culture and make their product easily available and reasonably priced (remember after the work is done it's all about selling units--volume=more money), well, they deserve to be consigned to the scrap heap of history. As they will be.

AWESOME SONG | Reviewer: Trish | 5/22/2007

This is the most awesome song. As soon as I hear it im totally in a GREAT mood.

Subjective, okay? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/20/2007

By the way Anon, I have no opinion on this song, but plenty of songs reach number one without actually being it. Music is subjective.

I LOVE it | Reviewer: Emily | 7/28/2006

I love this song. It's so funny. I can't describe what I'm thinking, but all I know is if I'm in a bad mood & I hear this song, I'm instantly happy again. It's the best. I love the end where he talks the best.

The worst song in country music? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/31/2006

Funny how this song went to number one considering it's the worst song in country music. You go Georgia Boy, keep writing those "worst" songs. Heard you got another one coming out soon. "If Heaven wasn't so Far Away". I can't wait to hear it. This same punk probably will not like it either.

Entertaining | Reviewer: Toby | 3/25/2006

The song 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk' is very entertaining and light, thanks... Our world is too serious...

response | Reviewer: Bob | 1/6/2006

First- to the writer- you could have suggested iTunes or an alternative for an online purchase to the person wanting a download instead of assuming people are stealing. Promote your product properly. It is simply the record companies and promotions people's faults that downloading passed them by to start with. I most certainly agree that writers and peformers should get paid for their talents, but I don't agree with trying to penalize someone who wants music, and its availability, to progress with technology. I personally own over 2500 discs, but I refuse to buy a full album for one song. For that, downloading is the best bet for consumers. Take a good look at the Dave Matthews Band. Their growth was accelerated by the advent of downloading shows on their personal website.

Second- this has to be the worst song in the history of country music. How many more catch phrases can be used and the same instrumentation to suck the life out of listeners? It is no wonder why listeners have been driven to personal mp3 players and downloading select music.

Thank you.

love the song | Reviewer: Jamie Carl | 9/15/2005

Hey, Dallas, great job with the writing, I love it, and I totally agree about the downloading thing. Anyway, the song's hilarious, and I really wish he'd make a video for it. After all, not only would that be a bust-a-gut-funny video, but it would give all Trace fans yet another chance to stare and drool. Well, at least female fans. Lol. Trace always does a really good job though, and we all hope he keeps it up.

download | Reviewer: dallas davidson | 9/9/2005

i am one of the co writers of this song. someone wanted to know where to download it. i'll tell you where. whatever store is closest to you. downloading is stealing! not only are you stealing from trace but you are stealing from me. album sales is how i make my money. if you like this song go buy it.
thanks,
dallas
