Yates his Army buddy were in a bar drinking with some German women. Their husbands catch them. The last words of the song were if it has a switch blade knife....salute it. I think it was by Tom. Tom T. Hall songs where a part of my show .I would like to help keep his music alive . I still do his music today, And do it as close to original as possible. Tom T. Hall touches my sole . I learned alot from his book on how to write songs.The first song I sung to my wife was, Little Green flower with the yellow on top.It's still her favorite today.We now live in Milton Florida and all my albums are stored in Ky.I wish some of the older Tom T. Hall CDs were in Walmart or Some of the other local stores . One of my Dreams is to meet Tom T. Hall and shake his hand for giving his music to sing and play.His music made me want to be a singer.
