One of the greatest tunes ever!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/22/07

You know ANON, you are truly an idiot!! As alot of other reviewers have posted this song has NOTHING to do with Iraq, (Which I will get to in a moment)it was written in the days following 9/11. To sit and say that him "Threatening" other nations with this song and the lyrics are ignorant, just shows what a putz you really are. We didn't become the great nation we are by letting little dirt-bags like Al Qaida walk all over us. I'm glad Toby warned everyone else not to screw with us, they need to know we're gonna put a boot in their ass if they do! And to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who doesn't think that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and was not a threat to the U.S. needs a lobotomy! He had them enough to gas his own people, even democratic politicians said he had them and he needed to go for years. Funny how when a republican gets off his ass and finally does the job, dems get jealous and say "he made up the threat". What a bunch of frieking losers!!

Angry American | Reviewer: Jenn | 7/17/07

I would like to add something if no one minds. ANON I agree that we really should not be in Iraq, but THAT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SONG! Also I may like to add I don't think he was "threatening" anyone he was making a point that if you screw with us we're gonna screw with you right back. I hardly think that's threatening. It's more like warning. By the way if you don't like what he has to say then why are you here anyway? and just to make this review relative to the song I love this song

This song rules ! | Reviewer: Karen | 7/9/07

People need to remind themselves that this song was written weeks after 9/11 .... our entire country was angry. The song was appropriate and spoke volumes about the way most of us felt. This song has nothing to do with the Iraq war - so stop relating the two. Our country endured one of the worst attacks it has ever seen. Some of the idiots out there seem to forget that. AND maybe the song hits closer to home for the people that are fighting for our freedom and for those of us who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks. The rest of you liberals & anti-americans can kiss our asses - especially ANON who left the ridiculous comment previously!

damn proud american | Reviewer: virginia marsh | 7/6/07

I am a proud american, the soldiers who fought for our country I'm really proud of them, at least 30 of my ancestors fought in past wars they sacrificed their lives for us too be free. my second cousin has been in Iraq for a few years now. I look up too him and the rest of the military. I just have too say in the end the Americans are going to kick their damn asses!!!!

WOW | Reviewer: James | 6/20/07

u protestors of this song and war can go to hell!, I fight for you in the US Army and you have the balls to say the crap u say, how pathetic! And as far as Im concerned i wish i didnt have to fight for you bastards that protest, better yet i would send your ass to war just for laughs and giggles let you experience hell before you get there

Ugh... | Reviewer: Anon | 6/21/07

From what I've heard, even Toby Keith is starting to disagree with Bush's war in Iraq. I agree that he THINKS he's patriotic (certainly, his heart is in the right place)...but this song has more ignorance than patriotism.

That being said, I agreed with going after Osama after 9/11 but shifting the war to Iraq based on (at best) questionable intel to go after weapons that didn't exist and catch somebody who had ZIP to do with 9/11 or any other attacks against the US? That's just wrong. To justify it by linking it to 9/11 is even more wrong and Keith's lyrics just serve the warped thinking of the masters of this fine country: we're pissed, out of control, and are willing to risk the U.S.'s fine world image because we wanna settle the score with someone, anyone, everyone.

Keith's lyrics are dumbfoundingly awful. I consider the fact he was angry when he wrote it but it doesn't make it right. I've written a lot of things I regret and I do my best to bury them because they show a much different, angrier person than the person I really am. Instead of doing that, he included the song on his greatest hits album, which just baffles me.

One more thing: one should not compare patriotism to outright irresponsibility. If you support your country, fine. But warning everyone outside our country that we're ready to beat the crap out of them if they don't support our views is highly ignorant.

Two wrongs do NOT make a right as one of the other posters said. You cannot, by any means, properly negotiate with terrorists. That's a given. So help us, we're fighting for everything we're worth there. But there are other conflicts which need not end in mindless violence in chaos: Iran, China, Russia, etc.

You can call me a peacenik but I find that peace and harmony is a much better world for my children to grow up in, don't you?

The Reason This was Written | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/24/07

I love this song. It's about September 11th, and no one can forget it. We went to war because we were attacked from behind, and we need to hit someone back. Iraq, btw, truly had the bombs. A relative Air Force operative saw the pictures that Iraq had the bombs. There was a reason to the chaos.

This song shows the partritism that some of us have for this great country | Reviewer: Don | 5/2/07

People who say that this sone is crape or Toby is a ----head for writing it should go and live in Iran or Iraq and see how you view these people after living among them. They are out to destroy anyone who doesn't beleive in their religion and that means US. I would like to see these wimpy people then. They would be begging us to take them back in the good ole U S of A. It would be nice if they all went there and the rest of the country would ok for them rest of us to live in

This song requires more attention | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/10/07

I live in Kuwait. I have many friends in the US army and I found them so nice and civilized that I cannot imagine that “Putting boot in someone’s ass is their American way”. On the other hand I have seen and talked to, many of those Islamic fundamentalists as well. I personally believe they deserve more than boots in their asses. I love this song and I really appreciate it. This is not only patriotism. It is a national request from the US governors and I hope that they pay more attention to what Toby Keith requests!
By the way I am Iranian national (Not American)!!
