I'm a very proud Army Mom! I had this song downloaded on my cellphone as ringtone for my son who is in the service. I love this song, every word describes the sacrifices that our soldiers endure, it makes me cry... My prayers goes to all the dedicated Soldiers serving to fight for our freedom! GO ARMY! God bless you all and your family!

This song is important to me because I have an uncle who was an American soldier and he selflessly took an extra tour in afghanistan so his brother, not my dad but another uncle, wouldn't have to take one. This song describes basically ever American Soldier and I love it. I cried the first time I heard it. We really don't think about I guess but all those men and women who fight for our freedom put their lives on the line everyday and yet sometimes we think that oh no mt boyfriend (or girlfriend) just broke up with me now i'm gonna die, when in reality we have it made here in America in our nice pretty little houses. This song is a great reminder of that. Good job Toby! And i want to shout out to all those men and women out there fighting for out freedom and say thanks, we owe it all to you!!!

I'm 14 and both my grandfathers fought in the Vietnam War. One of them died of cancer when I was 6. I miss him everyday of my life. My uncle was in the Marine corps. but was never deployed. I want to follow in their footsteps and serve America to keep her safe and free. My best friend lost his brother in afganistan a few months ago. I want to give out a big thanks to all the men and women who risk their lives for our freedom. God bless America! Thank you

This song described me to the T. I was in Iraq from 1/5/2003-3/19/2004. My daughter was crippled by arthritis and was in a wheelchair. My son was acting out because I was gone. Everyday I would wake up and have to focus on the mission at hand. Many things were not told to me when I called home, but when I finally got home, I was able to see my daughter walk for the first time in many months.
About a week after returning, I heard "American Soldier". I quietly sat in my garage and cried. This song had brought out many emotions from my tour that I couldn't hold it in. Toby, you will never know what this song meant to me because it was exactly how I felt. Thanks

Absolutely love this song. Very touching. Im 14 and my mother has been in the US Army Reserves for 4 years now an has been deployed in Afghanistan since April 20th 2012. She will be coming home very soon hopefully. That's my bestfriend, my mom, my hero & my soldier. I love that woman too death <3

my dad was in the army for 20 years he only did one tour but got blown up by a suicide bomber he is still alive but he lost half his foot an broke his back in two places and has bad pdsd i thank everyone who has put there lives on the line for our country and to all who support it.

My Dad was in the mariens for 12 years he has been deployed 3 or 4 times,just because hes my step dad i love him wayyy more than my real dad!My mom is in the united states Army.She's been in for 2 years..Me and my other 3 siblings are so proud of both of then!Si=o thank you so much to ALL the soldiers in afghastan and iraq korea, and germany!I pray for the soliers everyday! I just wanted to tell all of the soldiers, and Vetrans how much you mean to us. My big brother is in the army, all of my great uncle's were, both of my grandfathers were, and my dad was.

my dad is in the army and so is my steo mom various members of my family have been in the armes forces, and regardless of what branch u r in whether it be the army the marines the air force or anything else. My best friend is in the marines. whenever i hear this song i think of him. this song describes him exactly. if it wasnt for people like him then we wouldnt have the kind of freedom we have today. Thank You to ALL the armed forces.

I served with the US Navy Jan 1997 to Nov 2005 & with the Air National Guard Jan 2006 to May 2011. I'm a proud American and everyone that joins up to defend our Great Nation, I thank you. Keep our Nation FREE from Government take over and keep the Tradition going. Every man & woman that joins shows the world that we will defend what we believe in. FREEDOM!!!

Thank you for you service and dont worry about the haters. There will always be those super left wing people that just get there kicks off of dissing whatever they are told to by the left wing media. Just know that there are people that cut for you and are incredibly proude of you for your service i couldnt imagine being away from my family and risking my life and also missing my childs birth for serving my country. I dont have a child but just remember you are fighting for my neices freedom to walk down the road without having to worry about being attacked for just wanting to live there lives. Words cannot express the appreciation for what you are doing for this country and the lives you are saving. As Bill O'reily says you are a true patriat for what you are doing. I would do it myself but they wont let me do it because of my past life that i left behind. But if i could i would be right there by your side fighting for americas freedom. and for all those people that say the war doesnt do anything... when is the last time we had a major terrorist attack in the states. You are doing an amazing thing and i hope you the best. Be careful i know a 20 year old that just lost his life in Afganistan fighting for me and my family and i could not be more appreciative for the altimate sacrifice he gave for us, he is a true patriot keep it up and be careful you are in my prayers for real take care and come home same. best of luck and once again thank you for you service and your risk and for our country. That man has raised more money and sacrificed so much of his time with uso shows to support our troups and be there for them and he does not have to do it. My dad is an American Soldier. He's been in the military for over 20 years now. He always puts his country first. Whenever I hear this song, I cry because it reminds me of him. I love my dad, and this song sums up his whole adult life.

My cousin who is my friend is going to be serving in the Navy. I love him to death and I don't want to go bt when i hear hear this song i am tinking of him and I cry. Thank you to all of the soldiers that are fighting for for us and God bless you, too.

Im 17 and my oldest brother,at 25 is in afghanistan now for the second time.He has three kids,an amazing wife and a suportive family at home waiting for him.Everytime i listen to this song i cry and think of how incredibly true it is and how proud i am to be his sister.
