If all YOU STUPIED people remember that during the Vietnam police action AMERICAN protesters said " WE ARE BABY KILLERS!" and when we came home we all was spit on and talked down to!
You have the right to protest but YOU don't have the right to run down my American soldiers, burn my flag or run down my President no matter who YOU are and no matter whom the President is!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to protest, protest in Iran,Russia,France,China,Japan,or any communist country!
A plane leave's everyday for any country YOU want to live in,DO NOT damage the American's who have died to make you and I free!
YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT RIGHT,if you don't like it here MOVE!!!!!!!!!
This song is GREAT and thank you Toby for singing and keep on singing it as long as we are at war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
American soldiers may not be able to save the world, well at leaste they try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
As I have said " IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE,MOVE and MOVE now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Proud to Support Our USA Troops | Reviewer: Jess | 10/26/06
People think being a soldier is soooo easy. Well if they think it is so easy why dont they just join and see how hard it actually is! Soldiers have to leave their families behind while they go to Iraq. And the families are sitting at home wondering if they will hear from their love one today or ever see them again. A kid in my one class made a comment that he dont feel bad for the troops that go to Iraq and die. It's their fault that they joined. They joined because they love what they do and they love AMERICA! But I would love to see him in the army or something he couldn't do it.
I'm only 17 and my dad and 2 older brothers are in the national guard. My dad and oldest brother were both in Iraq. My dad got shot and luckly he is ok and my brothers tank got blown up and it was good enough to get back to base. No one will ever know how I felt that day when I heard the news.
People ask me why I support the troops, I say because I was born and raised around it and thinking bout joining and there is NOTHING wrong with SUPPORTING THE TROOPS!
Toby thanks for writing a song like this!
Respect | Reviewer: Stokes | 8/16/06
I am getting sick and tired of all of this. First of all I want to thank you Toby Keith for the respect that you are giving me and every other Soldier that is or has served overseas, and especially those that have not made it home. I will admit, when every Soldier enlists they understand the possibility of going to war and dying but we do it anyway. We feel that it is our duty and we want to do it. There are times when we are serving that we do things that we want to do and then there are others when we do what we have to do. As a Soldier we don't make the distinction, we follow orders to the best of our ability. It is an honor to serve my country and your country, it is honor to give you the right to express yourself but I get the same right. When you have to put your own men in body bags you don't think about the people at home, you think about the family that you have right there with you, the men and women that you are serving next to. We may need to end the war, we may not belong over there, but as long as we are in the war and as long as we have Soldiers over there, WE WILL DO OUR DUTY! All I am asking is for everyone to at least be supportive of us, you can hate the war but please RESPECT the SOLDIERS!!!

The war "For Oil" is happening for One reason.
Americans and their stupid cars.
Did you ever think that the reason that gas is so high and why the government is doing nothing?
Its so we will support a fake war and not care if our people die.
We keep sending people over, people come back dead.
The gov. keeps gas prices high so people keep going.
If we can only get to that oil, we would have cheap gas.
People should not die for transportation in big overpriced pieces of metal.
Think about it.
As long as we are in war, gas will stay high and people will die.
Lets stop the madness!!!!!!

Tonight I attended the funeral service for a marined killed in Iraq on November 30th. His name was Josh. He will be 21 on Dec. 15th. The day after he will be buried at Arlington. At an appropriate point in the service your song was played. Through my tears and heart ache I was reminded of what a hero Josh is and how proud I am to have known him. He believed in America and in what he was doing in Iraq. He died doing what he loved : making the world a better place. How many of us can say that? Josh did not die in vain, but rather to protect us here at home. I still can close my eyes and see the twin towers ablaze. Thank you Toby Keith.
Support those who protect you | Reviewer: Sergeant | 12/13/05
I have to say that I cry everytime I hear this song. Having spent a year and a half over in the desert for Iraqi Freedom, it really hits home. You dont realize how good we have it here until you dont have it. This song expresses exactly how I feel. Toby, thank you for such a powerful song.
If you dont support war that is fine, but support the soldiers. It is them who gave you the right to protest and voice your opinion in the first place. They are now giving that right to others who have never known freedom.
I will always wear the uniform and do my job to ensure the future and safety of the United States are kept intact. We dont do it for the money, we do because we love our country, our families and our savior Jesus Christ who made the ultimate sacrifice.
a hero | Reviewer: tyffani | 11/10/05
Every time I hear a patriotic song, I now think so much diffently about the people who are over there fighting and the war and everything that is going on in general. Me and my fiance' have been talking alot lately and he is signing up to be in the reserves. But I know him enough to know that he will really try to be on the front lines and not be only a reserve. I think of everyday that the money we need, and the reasons why he is going to go in there aren't as important as him getting killed. But then he came out and said that there are so many others who are there. They have family and friends and would love to stay wrapped in their love's arms. He is no different. He said that if he goes in there that the thought of fighting for me, and a child that he wants to bring in this war will make hime fight harder, make him want to fight for a better world. After he told me that he wanted to fight to keep our home land here free, for everyone, and, his kid then I supported him. With heavy tears I accepted that my man would be a hero, and someone that I can look up to, and a great father to my kids in our future.

War is sad... needed... and apart of life | Reviewer: AFgirlfriend | 2/9/05
My fiance` is in the air force and every day I worry about him.... I worry he will go away and I will never see him again... We have all been hurt by this war... if not for our friends then family... neighbors... aquaintences... I cry when i think of his brother... who will be serving his second round in Iraq. I cry when I think of all the soldiers who never made it home...(that could be my soldier... that could be my family member...) But then I remember why they did this... Why they went to Iraq and Why they died... THEY DID IT ALL FOR US.... They went to Iraq for You and I... Every fallen soldier fell for You and I.... our freedom... our world... our safety... Yes people may be pesemistic about the war... but when we as a country are optemistic... it makes our men and woman out there stronger... it makes them fight harder...
"Our choice wasn't between a benign status quo and the bloodshed of war. It was between war and a graver threat" -Sen. John McCain | Reviewer: Heather | 12/12/04
Thank you to Toby Keith for this song, and for loving this great country and the men and women who defend her!

"my best friend matt got killed and i never got to say goodbye we should stop the war"
"The war is terrible. The killing and death are on both sides.
It is a quagmire that will continue. Many more will die."
For these two bleeding-heart pacifists:
Watch yourselves.
Have a little gratitude that our families and friends are fighting the cause of freedom.
They're watching your back, protecting your ass, and you complain about it. That's pitiful.
They're fighting and dying so you won't be blown up in your own country. If it weren't for those that fought in America's history you would not have the liberties and freedoms you take for granted every day of your self-centered little lives.
Yes, war is terrible.
But war is necessary sometimes, and it is NOT a quagmire, you do not know what you are talking about, you are a parrot of ignorant anti-patriots. I'm sorry your friend matt was killed.
He is a hero.
You should honor his memory as such instead of besmirching it with your thumb-sucking navel gazing.
Every nation throughout history has experienced war.
It is a part of life.
I hope that when you've lived enough of it, you'll come around and realize it.
