I can really relate to this song...

I fell in love with this guy and he was my 1st for alot of things.... we were never really together, and we hide what we did together. well one day i told him that i love him he said he loves me too but cant be with me because of people. i tryed to move on but i just couldnt for the longest time. Over & Over really reminded me of this guy and the way i felt about him. The other song that reminded me of him was I Hate Everything About You. and now that i moved on and got over him the song Gone Forever reminds me of him.

This song reminds me of my ex girlfriend who I really cared about and no matter how much I tried to forget about her I eventually started liking her even if it wasn't the best thing for me :(

Over and Over....mmm what to say about this song. Yes, it reminds me of a guy, that i just cannot get out of my head, knowing he is bad for me in so many ways, that i'm wasting my time. Yet again the reality kicks in that i keep falling for him out of choice. I think this song could be about a person, a drug, even an emotion - dealing with yourself, your habits. You know what is good for you, in life, love or anything for that matter. Yet your addiction (compassion, lust, high) can consume your thoughts and take over your free will, if you are not a strong enough person. You always got a choice! I really relate to a lot of 3DG's songs. They voice a lot of emotion, truth, frustration, anger, things u don't really wanna talk about... It mirrors a lot of people's pain and thoughts they don't speak about.

I don't see this song as talking about anything in particular. Whether it's a person, a drug, or whatever you want it to be, in the voice of this song it's bad for you but you want it desperately!
Maybe you really like that guy/girl you've known for a while but he/she is a bad influence or hurts you in some way. You still want him/her but you always want to get away so something bad doesn't happen. The same message could apply to any unhealthy addiction, like pot or something. Maybe you want that exhilarating high that life can't give you but you know it's going to hurt you physically.
It's not a love song exactly, but it's not an anti-love song. Those are my thoughts. I love this song and many others by 3DG! :D

I love this song, it reminds me of when I first fell for my current fella, I hadn't a clue he felt the same until a few days ago *hehe* but this song, touches me in ways other love songs don't... I love Three Days Grace!!

Don't try to argue with how people see the song...

If they interpret it to love, that's how it relates to them...There's no reason to try to "prove" what it's really talking about.

It sounds like love to me, anyway. Then again, I'm just the lover type of guy...

After reading other reviews I was prompted to submit one of my own. It appears that others are led to believe that this song is about love for someone, however I'm quite sure that it is about an addiction to something (More than likely drugs). I believe this for a few reasons such as lines in the song and actually critically thinking about it. To start with, in the first stanza he states the he is brought down as if in or into a weaker or worse position, mood, or condition. Drugs most definitely have this effect on people but then again so can love. Later he says that he is to blame meaning its his choice. When it comes to love you don't really choose who to love, instead love grows on you. Another reason is in the second stanza when he says, "over and over I try not to" and the third stanza when he says, "it's dragging me down and I can't pull away". This is showing that he has a compulsion for this that he cannot overcome. Love can give off this same compulsion, however when in love with some one you have an intense feeling of deep affection which you would not want to "pull away" from but instead get closer to them. The last reason is in the fifth stanza. When it states, "I know what's best for me, But I want you instead, I'll keep on wasting all my time". This is pretty self-explanatory, he knows what's best for him but he wants you instead. Drugs are not good for anyone so he knows what he is doing is not "best for him" but he still wants them due to his addiction. Now this is what can get most mixed up with relationships. What if the person you falling for is not in particular a good person? If you really were in love with them then you would want them like the songs says but when you love someone you don't care the circumstances, you want them and only them. Therefore the last part of these lines "I'll keep on wasting all my time" is irrelevant to love because you want them dearly, so you would be doing anything but "wasting" time with your loved one.

I love this song reminds me of a guy I once cared about but we never came to be cuz he was dumb and didnt want to be in love with me luckily im happily married and I still think about him & I know that B wasnt meant for me I was to good for him :-)

!!! This song makes me remember when I have a girlfriend and she suddenly got crazy and said to me that I was cheating. I feel sad, first, because i didn't was cheating on her, second, because i loved she too much and she was breaking with me cuz she said "i can't trust anyone" blah blah. I tried to live without her, but that was impossible, i loved her too much. And i end chasing her again -.-U

Hey I just came back from the Three Days Grace concert. It was amazing...it blew my mind! This song kinda made me remember alot. I love this one guy but I know hes not right for me and I cant stop thinking about him..over and over I want to be with him but I know its not right. You guys are amazing. Good inspiration:)!

I thought I didn't like this band, not my vocal style, not the right guitar style, etc. But then I heard this song, and I remembered it was Taking Back Sunday that I didn't like, not this one. Damn 3 word band names that start with T... I love this band now, and this song is awesome!!!
