And when it got to the chorus, it pulled at my soul, and I could relate. There's not a lot of music that really does that for me. I had been feeling really bad when I first heard the song, and I just listened to it over and over. It helped me feel better. =) 3 Days Grace is amazing. And the lyrics are good too, I had a very hard and difficult relationship and it was so depressing, I really wish I knew this song at that time... "If you want to get out alive" could mean "If you don't want to be broken in the end." "The other side" could easily mean something like "being on your own for a while."
