When I first heard this song song I thought of my children,as a single mom with kids we have all had such a hard time that it seem the rain has never stopped.I thought of my daughter Sabrina who has bipolar and I just want to hold her til her pain stops, and my daughter Deseree who also use to cut her self, and Deedee who I never showed enough love to before i was saved,and to Sam who tried to protect me from her needs but who needs me totally and to Chris my only son who needs his absent fathe. When I first heard this song, my sister was going through a self mutilation time. She was so depressed and I wanted her to know if I could take the pain away, I would, but all I could do was support her through her "down in the valley" time. I heard this song and burst into tears. The words said exactly what I wanted to say to her. And the greater promise, that Jesus will hold us through all of our "down in the valley" times. Praise God!!! The most wonderful song I have ever heard to express the most heartfelt love!!!!

I can imagine singing this to my child when he awakes from a nightmare. I love this song. It's a great promise. I makes me feel warm and cozy and loved.
