Summer at the Jersey Shore | Reviewer: Jersey Girl | 10/10/2008
I live at the Jersey Shore, the winters here are unbearable but every May the Jersey Shore comes to life with the arrival incredibly, ripped tan bare-chested men, when all "The Boys" arrive from the city and the Northern suburbs our town is chock full of hunks for twelve weeks and then they fade into the fall. This song is my signature song that summer has arrived - Sometimes I will leave my girlfriends a voicemail singing the lyrics "The boys are back in Town again..."they all laugh hysterically. I am of Irish decent and love that Thin Lizzy is from the "Homeland". Thank you for such a feel GREAT song. I miss the boys already, but as the song says "the boys will be back in Town." Thank God!
This song is awesome! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/8/2008
I've loved this song since I first heard it, and now, all my friends totally agree with me! Even though they repeat the same thing over and over again, it's still pretty cool!I've heard soo many rappers try to perform this song, but they sound so bad, I usually have to cover my ears!(ha ha!) I know that Thin Lizzy sounds sooo much better!
Phil Lynnot owns(owned) | Reviewer: HighOnMusic | 11/17/2007
This song is amazing, and I agree that it really makes you feel like you were there with them. Phil Lynnot was a genious. Even though this song is really great, I think my favourite Thin Lizzy song is Roisin dubh (Black Rose), that song is so poetic and beautiful.
really cool | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/1/2007
"And that time over at Johnny's place
Well this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man we just fell about the place
If that chick don't want to know, forget her"
dont it make you feel like you where there with them??? can t you just see it? it has an old school cool blues rock rhythm
oh cool! | Reviewer: just me | 8/2/2007

Hey nuts!!! | Reviewer: III | 7/26/2007
ok....
-let´s stop to piss off...
I agree that rap is great; I know rap and I do like some songs off good rappers; but thin lizzy is something special. It´s very great!
some friends ( many o´them live next door )got boared about the expression " boys ", trying to say it sounds bad, but
I dont agree, cuz I got my point of view: you got to know the context of the SONG joined together with the LYRICS...
it may sounds some autobiographic stuff, but truly,
he's just talking about a place. he´ve seen she on the floor shakin' what she got/she was cool, she was hot.. steamer.. and it runs like this...
The Citadel | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/9/2007
Folks: This song was written about "The Boys" in T Company at The Citadel in South Carolina. Dino's was a bar just down the road (now torn down so a Wendy's could be built) and Johnny's was a place cadets "climbed over the wall" to get to at night (AWOL).
HEY IDIOTS | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/6/2007
1. Hey The Real Matt, you know that song you have on your iPod? Ya that would be this song, dumbass. Thin Lizzy did the original. A rapper has never done this song.
2. This is song is played after a lot of Republic of Ireland football matches, which makes it sick by default.
3. Why put Green Day down? I'm not a fan of their new stuff, but their old stuff is pretty sick and I did half enjoy American Idiot (the single no the album).
4. If you don't know what you're talking about, piss off. Only submit your opinion if you know a damn thing about what you're talking about.

Why the Hell do they say the boys are back in town so much? Personally I think the song is annoying and sucks.

Thin Lizzy is an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin in 1969. The band was originally led by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott. They are well known for their 1976 song "The Boys Are Back in Town" - a major international hit still played on hard rock and classic rock radio stations.
