I'm born in the 60's, I know this song from its release and always loved it. But as I'm french and my english was too poor at the time, I just happen to understand the lyrics 5 minutes ago reading them on this site! They are so funny and acurate and well crafted. My daughter loves this LP too, long lives the Who !
Laurie comments | Reviewer: so what did I expect? | 5/8/09
Getting Laurie's p.o.v. is priceless. If you hook up with an awesome babe she is gonna get possessive and if a guy, like Laurie's boy friend, figured out how to make her laugh and get to have some Massive, Wild, Sweet,Sex, I'd say that makes John E. and those two all equal in the Genius department. And buddha man, I agree these are some of the finest lyrics. Sorry this in not original but I love the simple genius of the truth of this "drinking song."
This song is AWESOME!! | Reviewer: Laurie | 12/4/08
When I hard this song back in the day, I so thought of my boyfriend. When I didn't know where the hell he was and I was going to hunt him down and KICK HIS ASS, and I new what he was thinking if he new he was in deep shit.. And this song he would sing to me all the time and he would make me LAUGH so from wanting to KICK his ASS, we would Have Some Massive, Wild, Crazy SEX!! SWEET!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
Entwhistle knew | Reviewer: Nachtigall | 11/22/07
Back when My Wife hit the airwaves I was single and quite alone, I said catchy lyrics with Who instrumentation. Here it is Thanksgiving Day 2007 and it haunts, so I downloaded it, haven't heard since its year of release, and with my own Wife, how insightful and why don't I see it more in other songs or in Hollywood? Why was it that Entwhistle was the one to say what is on most husbands' minds? There is a movie right there in that song (lest they offend the thought police).
So damn straight on the money | Reviewer: neogeoman | 7/3/07
Brothers, does John E. hit it on the money or what? After a long night of sever 'wify' scolding I know I can find solitude in this fine tune and know that someone else out there is suffering just as much as I......
oh so nice | Reviewer: buddha man | 5/20/07
i was born in 1953 and i suppose these are the finest lyrics that i can relate to bar none....
