My favourite song ever. Ever since I heard when i was about 15 and into everything Mod I have been gripped. I want it played at my funeral. The song is a beautiful combination of a rock band and orchestra. The incessant violins are incredible and the guitar solo wonderful. It matches the film quadrophenia perfectly. It takes you through different moods which can mirror the different stages you go through in life, whether over a period of time or all in one day! Brings feelings of nostalgia. i want to be 15 again when emotions changed from highs and lows every 5mins!!!

Love Reign O'er Me | Reviewer: Layla | 3/5/13

One of the most powerful songs ever written. This is one of those pieces that touches you even the first time you listen to it, without even listening to the lyrics...

But the lyrics must be mentioned, especially the play on reign vs. rain, which adds an important duality to the piece. Not only does the speaker want love to fall down on him as heavily as rain would in the storm, but he wants to rule his life (reign).

This is a song I feel could stand up to some in-depth lyric analysis, but it's also a song that doesn't need that to make sense or get the idea across. It delivers confusion and love and passion of the speaker through the sheer musicality of the piece.

Desperation WHO | Reviewer: Niner Hoss | 11/28/12

Ultimate Quadrophenia! Daltry's most emotional piece. The summation of the entire movie. The WHO was at one time, and for a short time, the kings, even over the Beatles. (Just a short time)

Excellent, a masterpiece | Reviewer: JRod | 4/6/09

This has got to be one of the best songs ever written. I heard this up at the Celebration of Lights fireworks show in Vancouver, down at the was incredible listening to this combined with the red fireworks.

Classic! | Reviewer: Cue | 6/30/07
