Baba O' Riely | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/19/07

I find it ironic that a song that talks about wasted teens gets on inspirational commercials. Still this is an amazing song, Daltry's lyrics are amazing, too. I recommend this song to anyone who loves to rock.

True Rock & Roll | Reviewer: Angel | 3/14/07

I am a huge fan of The Who. Of course I wasn't alive when they were out b/c I'm only 16 right now. But it's awesome that their music is still alive and I'm happy that I've been exposed to it.
I love how it was played in One Tree Hill...it goes to show that their music is still very much appreciated by all types of people.
The Who are musical legands...

Mum and Dad were big 60's Brit scene music fans. Only two words describe this song - Monumentally Tremendous!!

Hooked Forever | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/24/07

Ah, another great example of the simple days of Rock. Ever since I heard this song on the radio I've been hooked forever!

The Who rock!

Awesome! | Reviewer: Chanda | 2/22/07

Great song! The original is best, but Blue Man Group does a hell of a cover at their live shows! It's better if you can catch them when Tracy Bonham is touring with them as she does the vocals and some mean fiddle playing on it!

Opening track on the album Who's Next, the 1995 reissue of which features this remixed version. Recorded at Olympic Studios, Barnes in May 1971. Not played onstage by The Who until much later in the year, when it became a live favourite. Terry Riley's "A Rainbow In Curved Air" inspired Pete's synthesizer parts on this song and was named in tribute to Riley as well as to Meher Baba.
Pete: "This was a number I wrote while I was doing these experiments with tapes on the synthesizer. Among my plans was to take a person out of the audience and feed informaiton - height, weight, autobigraphical details - about the person into the synthesizer. The synthesizer would then select notes from the pattern of that person. It would be like translating a person into music. On this particular track I programmed details about the life of Meher Baba and that provided the backing for the number."

A truly transcendent rock anthem | Reviewer: gigabit | 9/30/06

An amazing rock n roll classic. It delivers on every single level, with multiple layers and interpretations.
I will FINALLY have the life-long desire to see this immortal band perform live. And, the Pretenders shall be the opening act. It should be an unforgettable night of great music.

The Who - masters of R&B | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/10/06

A timeless classic, Baba O'Riley will never die. It is like a symphony in its buildup and like a stadium concert when Daltry screams: "Sally take my hand." Rock N' Roll was made better because of this amazing piece of music.
