The Reviews about Baba O'Riley (page 5/ 9)
------ performed by The Who

Teenage wasteland forever! | Reviewer: Thomas | 10/12/07

The first time I heard thid song was in the trailer for "A bug's life". I thought it sounded amazing. Some time later, my dad explained how they made the sound with the sinthesizer. It was many years later, after I had watched the Simpsons episode with "The Who", and around the time I had gotten Itunes. I read on Wikipedia that the intro song for CSI:NY was Baba O'Riley. At the time, I hadn't seen CSI:NY yet. I go on to Itunes and listen to Baba O'Riley. One second in, I'm filled with memories. "Holy crap! This song's by the who?". Awhile later I replaced the Itunes version with the one from "Who's next". I swear, I can listen to this song forever. I take the album to school to play in art class. Within a few seconds, I'm hearing "Oh, I love this song!" from at least 10 people. To make a long story short; This is the best song ever written, from the synthesizer at the start, to the violin at the end, you have to listen to this song!

All Time Fave | Reviewer: Bevred | 10/6/07

Have to say this has been my all time fave since my early high school years (81-82). Every time I hear it, it's a trip back in time.

I am a purist and have to say the Blue Man Group freaks me out to begin with, and to hear a woman singing it... Well, suffice it to say, bastardizes the song.

Classic Rock | Reviewer: Flipp | 9/22/07

One of the best of the famous symphonic classic rock songs.

Along with Halo of Flies (Alice Cooper) this one beats Beethoven, Verdi,...
Sorry for the English

PJ quite often play Baba O'Riley, usually near the end of their final set, and often with a guest vocalist. I saw them do it in Barcelona with Andy Stockdale from Wolfmother

i lov this song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/8/07

this song is my absolute favorite of all time, and its beat goes up there with the beats to sweet home alabama by skynyrd and sweet child o' mine by guns n' roses and over the hills and far away by zeppelin. those 4 songs alone have the greatest beats in the song itself and that is why baba o riley in my opinion is the greatest rock song ever.

misheard lyrics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/4/07

When I heard this on "CSI:NY" I misheard the lyrics as:

"Out here in the fields
I'm full of eels"

Which whilst it may sound stupid, if you listen to it again, I promise you will heard it from now on!

Townsends A Genius | Reviewer: What An Intro!! | 8/23/07

Baba O'Riley is a timeless classic. I've beeen a fan of The Who since the mid eighties and have seen them live. Hearing this being belted out live was mind blowing. Its helped me through the good and the bad times.
