With the Face Dances album, Roger,Pete,and John sounded very much at home alongside The Police,the Talikng Heads,and The Cars.Another Tricky Day is the last track on this album.The driving beat,desperation-filled lyrics,and blunt delivery give the song a very blue-collar feel. Of particular interest is Entwhistle's bass track on the bridge,which is repeated in the root chord at the end.The backing keyboard provided atmosphere,while Daltrey and Townshend played the friendly game of one-upsmanship that characterized the group during this time period.
