Although this song is a love song and whatnot, I find that if you interpret it a little bit differently you can relate it to any relationship in your life (be it friends, family or love). This song is quite soft and mellow, and whilst I prefer The Used's more hardcore songs, "It's Hard to Say" still penetrates my thoughts with it's lyrics.

omigosh..i love this song..i heard though, that Bert's gf died of a drug overdose in 2004 and she was pregnant with his baby. this song was dedicated to her.
