AMAZING! | Reviewer: adriana | 6/6/07

I love the strokes, and this song, and the whole CD actually, are just amazing, this song really makes you think...

They STILL have it | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/13/07

I couldn't listen to this song at first; I didn't want to give it a chance. But you can only listen to "Reptilia" and "Someday" so many times before you give in and expand your Strokes "horizon". So I gave it a listen. And then a listen became two, then three, then so many that I can't remember.

THIS is Nick, Fab, Albert, Nikolai, and Jules at their finest. This is Jules proving the critics wrong, telling them that he is a legitimate writer and singer and that they can fuck off. This is them telling everyone that they are STILL the real deal after most wrote them off following Room On Fire.

I really love this song makes me think about our own lives.. we are really prisioners to routine and society rules.. apathy..

just amazing as it is | Reviewer: tomas | 2/12/07

I never wrote any review, but that song is just an incredibly amazingly surprisingly well done. The way it's built you won't listen it off. I listened to it several times in row and just stayed in awe every single time I reapeated. I listen to many bands regularly updating my database and this is a diamond in there.

Absolute Musical Genius | Reviewer: Adam | 12/30/06

When you hear this song, the first thing that stands out is the very crisp vocal performance by Julian Casablancas but the incredibleness doesn't stop anywhere remotely near there. There are so many subtleties that are just unbelievable, for instance the harmonies in the chorus, or how about that guitar solo? What a work of art that thing is, I wonder if it's improvised. But there is one thing that stands out to me more then anything in this whole amazing song. In the first chorus, there is a part where Julian sings "a child to criticize" and it goes into a very melodramatic major 7th chord. When I heard that for the first time, I was on the verge of crying. I must say that I think this is probably one of the best (if not the best) Strokes songs out there. If you haven't heard it yet, it's in your best interest to hear this song, even if you're not into The Strokes.

Ah this song is absolutely amazing, Julian Casablancas has a way with words...very interesting and powerful lyrics. Plus the guitar is AMAZING.
