The Reviews about HOW SOON IS NOW ? (page 4/ 4)
------ performed by The Smiths

best song ever | Reviewer: another anon | 5/25/07

The measure of a good song is the sense of empathy it inspires or a mutual understanding between you and someone you never met: the singer/songwriter. I first heard this song on the soundtrack of the Craft. No one knew who it was by, but it instantly caught my imagination. (Charmed sucks by the way in case you think I'm with the anonymous reviewer) HOW SOON IS NOW? captures the feelings of an outsider with shit social skills and a desperate need to connect with others, minus the ability to do so. I lived this experience of going out to a club over and over again through-out my first year of university. I was too shy and nervous to talk and my voice was too quiet to be heard when I did talk. My self esteem was terribly low. I used to get drunk and it didn't change things. This song is something everyone can relate to "I am human and I need to be loved/Just like everybody else does" That's the money shot if you ask me. Who hasn't felt like that at some point during their life?

A Really Great Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/7/07

This is one of my personal favorites from the 80's. It has an awsome beat and a really great guitar riff. I'd have to say The Smiths did an awsome job on this song.
