NOT A SISTERS OF MERCY SONG | Reviewer: big sisters of mercy fan | 12/17/07

i have been seeing this song posted all over the website as a sisters of mercy song. i am a huge sisters of mercy fan and i have heard every song they have done and this is not one of them because THIS SONG IS NOT A SISTERS OF MERCY SONG IT WAS ORIGIONALLY DONE BY GERARD MCCANN AND IT CAME FROM THE LOST BOYS SOUNDTRACK. just thought you'd like to know that.

Just Wrong | Reviewer: Lyanna | 12/7/07

I find it very interseting that the Sisters of Mercy are getting away with taking credit for this song.I am an internet Dj and my songs must have correct tags on them or I can be fined for copyright infringment.Seems to me that this band is guilty of that very same law.I do Dj this song and it comes up in winamp under the the proper artist Gerard McMann.Shame on this band!

get over it retards | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/5/07

this is just a lyrics site, it's not like Mr. McCann is losing royalties over this. And for fuck's sake, no one believes he actually came on this site and asked for a correction, whoever the retard impersonating him is. Jesus fucking christ.

need to know | Reviewer: erik | 10/23/07

what is this song about? i like it a lot. I think i know what their saying. you know how you can listen to a song and somehow find an association with it.

A simple comment | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/24/07

How can you be even cosidered a serious band when you claim credit for Gerard McMann's work. You know it was written and sung by him but yet you claim credit for the song. You will do well if he doesn't sue you!

The Biggest and Best Case of Mistaken Identity in Alternative Music | Reviewer: Luis Cipher | 7/21/07

What's to say about this song, but it's fantastic and one of the reasons I really got into the Sisters of Mercy / The Mission, etc, but the very best part is poor G Tom Mac gets no credit, and the Sisters as far as I know had nothing to do with the song ever. I'm sure the story of how it so widely became associated with them would make for an interesting one, seeing as how G Tom Mac aka Gerard McMann is credited with performing and writing the song on the Lost Boys Soundtrack and the Sisters of Mercy to my knowledge have never even covered it (i've got a decent selection of bootlegs).

So, for those of you, who like me got into the Sisters of Mercy, because you enjoyed this track, check out G Tom Mac's site www.gerardmcmann.com You'll find all kinds of good music there and even a link to what looks to be a very cool Lost Boys Game.

So, show Mr. McMann some respect and check it out. Alas, since everyone seems to know it as "Cry Little Sister" by the Sisters of Mercy, I'd leave them as the performer so people can do a search, but in parenthesis indicate who the real credit should go to for easily one of the 10 most recognized "goth" songs of all time.

wrong | Reviewer: Gerard Mc Mann | 7/20/07

SOOO wrong!! | Reviewer: Gerard Mc Mann | 5/6/07

WTF | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/13/06

Where and when did Sister's of Mercy get associated with this song. I remember when Napster was first out..the REAL napster I did a search for this song and omehow it said it was done by Sister's..'Less they did a cover of it I know not of..but..

Cry Little Sister by G TOM MAC aka Gerard McMann | Reviewer: Bob | 4/25/05

This needs to be corrected. Gerard McMann aka G TOM MAC wrote, performed, and produced this song, not The Sisters of Mercy.
