"We Will Become Silhouettes was released February 8, 2005 by The Postal Service under the Sub Pop Records label.... The title track has been used in a Honda Civic commercial, and indie band The Shins performed an acoustic cover of the track for one of the Postal Service's B-Sides, Such Great Heights."
Yeah, def. The Postal Service made this song.
And the Shins just did a B-side to it.

Everybody's right! Hurray! | Reviewer: Emily | 6/24/2007
It's the Shins covering the Postal Service as a B-side of a Postal Service single (either District Sleeps Alone or Such Great Heights, can't remember which). Just like there's the Iron & Wine cover of Such Great Heights on another of the Postal Service's single/Garden State soundtrack. So, same lyrics but this way someone that only knows the Shins version can find it if that's what they're looking fo.
