By combining elements new ones are formed | Reviewer: -Your name here- | 10/22/09
Water has different properties than hydrogen and oxygen, does that not make it its own? You say that this band pulls elements from separate bands but by combining them in the way that they do, they become unique, you don't call ragtime jazz

Yes, they do take aspects from other bands, but that's what all bands do. Myself being a musician, and knowing a lot of musicians have to say that most inspiration comes from the music you listen to, there is no completely unique band.

i wouldn't say they're unique, they just take aspects from other bands and incorporate them together. It's not bad, but they're definately not unique. In this song are elements from weezer, SOAD, brian wilson, pixies, and modest mouse
Lucy's eyes | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/21/07
I believe it's "Lucy's eyes are blue when she places them in front of you." In paintings and statues, the martyr St. Lucy is frequently shown holding her eyes on a golden plate.

What an awesome song, I cant get it out of my head. The Shins are definitely one of the best unique bands going round at the moment
