incredible song/s!!! | Reviewer: Lylan Dosasso | 12/5/08
if anybody ever actually reads this, i will be very thankful. anyways, the supertones have been my favorite band for about 4 years now, and i'm thirteen. until i turned 12 or so i didn't really care about the lyrics of their songs, just the cool beats, and AWESOME horns. but then i started really paying attention to their lyrics, and started looking some of them up on line, and now these songs mean much more to me than just cool horns or beats. i'll addmit that often times i find myself being sucked in to secular music, but i always find my way back to the tones.
i was part of a forum on a secular bands website, and started a few threads about the supertones. i couldn't bealieve the things people were saying about them. everyone said that they sucked and that they were to preachy, and that made me realize a few things. 1, is the fact that they aren't affraid to have a really sweet message about the church, or about God, in every song. this made, (and still makes...) me wan't to let my Christian light shine all the time, and not be affriad of anything. also i realized that i would vary much rather hang out with Christian freinds that also injoy the great message in all their songs, than a non Christian friend who hates the tones.
every time i hear this song it makes me want to make my whole church listen to it. i don;t go to a bad church, but i really think that in this song mojo really nails the piont that there is alot wrong with the church today. i appreciate everybody who likes the tones, and continues to listen to them. i lost my ipod, but i listen to there cd's everyday!!!! i love you O.C. SUPERTONES!!!! YOU GUYS WERE EXACTLY WHAT CHRISTIAN MUSIC NEEDED, AND STILL NEEDS TODAY!!!
What A Song | Reviewer: Chris | 7/2/08
It's not often that there is a catchy song like this. Nor is it often that a song like this would come from a Christian band. The O.C. Supertones break from the stereotypical ballad of Christianity and get up-beat and energetic. I believe this is one of the BEST Christian songs out there, catchy tune, great message, something that you will listen to again and again. It proves that the O.C. Supertones are up to the job of creating good songs, and they definitely have a few great ones.
The coolest Christian song I've ever heard | Reviewer: Ryan Crossley | 3/23/08
I am only 14 but I've been a Christian for a few years now. I got interested in music a couple of years ago and found out about some catchy Christian bands as I went along listening to music. One of my favorites was a parody band called ApologetiX. I now have tons of their songs but recently started looking for more. And that resulted in finding out about Christian and secular bands. But sometime last year I found out about The O.C. Supertones from a friend who lent me one of his cd's(I'd actually heard about them previously but hadn't heard any of their songs) but I didn't listen to it much. Then just quite recently as I was just listening to the songs in their album "Unite" to see what one's I could find that sounded cool, I came across Return of the Revolution. And I instantly got hooked on it. The first time I heard it, it reminded me of a song I'd heard on a video game, so I just listened on and I just wanted to hear it over and over again. And I still do to this day. It's such a great song: it's cool, catchy, and Christian. I now have both the studio version and the live version. On the side, I'm a big daydreamer(which has it's advantages and disadvantages) so I would listen to it and dream away, almost totally oblivous to what was going on around me(which might not sound so good for some of you), but I think it's great. Simply awesome is this song and I think everyone(especially any decent Christian) should hear it. It's also totally(and I mean TOTALLY) changed my opinions about The O.C. Supertones and I now frequently listen to several more of their songs. It changed me from thinking of them as a boring Christian band with a straight message(yes, it's sad but true and I'm sorry but now that's a thing of the past),to nearly the greatest Christian band I've ever heard! They write great songs with the best overall message anyone could ever bring to the world, and this one is one I would certainly like to share with all my friends and the world. A superb song and they have done a superb job of writing it. If I could ever thank them for writing it, I would. God bless you, O.C. Supertones. May his grace and his blessing follow you wherever you go.
