The Reviews about The Network (page 1/1)
silly silly children | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/28/09
ugh GUYS!!! isnt it obvious green day is NOT the network!? why would you even make that random connection?! ITS NOT THEM! if you ask the network about it, they become extremly outraged and yell in their native tongue and beat up reporters. the two bands are NOT the same...
Um...duh? | Reviewer: Billie Joe and Fink are so hot! | 10/8/09
It's a combination of Green Day and Devo, you can tell from the sound altering. Z and The Snoo are from Devo, the Rest are Green Day (I think that's it anyway) but it doesn't really matter, it's so blatantly obvious. Btw, Billie Joe did a really bad job covering it up. Aquarius, dropped out of school, the "stolen" Cigarettes and Valentines tracks, Fink is so blatantly obviously Billie. And Foxboro and Pinhead are both admittedly Green Day, for the last guy who posted who was unsure.
Billie and Fink are still totally hot (part 2) | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/9/09
After my last post I realized that I heard them way before I heard Green Day so maybe that's why I got hooked on them so fast. I heard Teenagers From Mars on THAW and later Green Day's Basket Case on an old BMX game (can't remember the name for the life of me) but anyway, maybe that's another reason. They couldn't get their songs on both games (or they didn't want to) so they designed alter egos to get more publicity. Just my thoughts.
Green Day = The Network. gotta love em! | Reviewer: BillieJoeFan | 9/25/08
yes, we all know that Green Day IS The Network, but honestly... who cares? Green Day is already the greatest band in the world, and doing this just makes it all the better. now there are the rumors floating around about Foxboro Hot Tubs being Green Day. i got the album. it does sound exactly like Billie too, but as far as i've heard, they havent confirmed or denied it. if it is indeed them, thats just more for Green Day fans to obsess over!!!
The Network | Reviewer: Fink | 7/6/07
There's no doubt that Green Day are The Network. Billie Joe Armstrong's voice is ummistakably the same as Fink's. Green Day just wanted to do something different as in sounds to what Green Day was all about without alienating fans.
And they have done it in an awesome way. The Network are a great, although sarcastic band, with really catchy beats. And now we have another fave band to obsess over along with Pinhead Gunpowder, The Frustrators and Green Day of course. :]
Obviously | Reviewer: Trik | 12/25/06
Yes, yes. It is indeed Green Day. Billie Joe's scratchy vocals, and Mike's are clearly audible, not to mention the appearance is too uncanny to be nothing less than it really being them. Other noticeable traits are the addition of Balducci, a second guitarist added to make sure Fink concentrates solely on vocals. Sound like what Jason White does for Billie Joe? Of course it does. As for the remaining two members, Z and Captain Underpants, one is beleived to be Reto Peter, a well-known producer that has worked with Green Day in the past. I've yet to distinguish who the last one is, but, alas, no matter who they are, they rock. Drastically funny, and socially unacceptable, The Network is a great addition to anyone's playlist. "It has a beginning, it has an end" and The Network, is it.
We all know | Reviewer: Danielley "Armstrong" | 3/10/06
Kay, so we all love Green Day, and so it's pretty easy to see that they ust want to give us more to love... hence, The Network. There's no doubt that Billie Joe and the gang just needed a way to express themselves outside of Green Day, and I'm pretty damn happy about it! Now there's another awesome band to add to my list of obsessions, which already includes Green Day (at the top of course) and Pinhead Gunpowder, among others.
is it Green Day...? i think so! | Reviewer: Marissa "Miss Armstrong" F. | 2/20/06
oh, come on... i have no doubt in my mind that this is really Green Day. the singer sounds identical to Billie Joe Armstrong, and even the drummer sounds like it's Tre Cool. and we cant forget Mike on bass. as for the other two people in The Network, i'm not quite sure, although it could be Jason White and Jason Freese, who also do work with Green Day. the only song from The Network that i've actually heard is Teenagers from Mars, and my best friend and I (upon hearing the song) both agreed- it's Green Day alright. maybe they just needed to write songs to get it out of their system, or maybe they just wanted to mess with us! but now I have another band (other than Green Day) to obsess about. :D
Green Day in disguise | Reviewer: Ginger | 9/29/05
People say that they're actually Green Day and two other dudes. It obviously is Green Day, I mean, come on. The singer sounds EXACTLY like Billie Joe Armstrong that it's crazy. Well, they're (The Netowrk) a funny band and I really like them along with Pinhead Gunpowder and The Frustrators. All of those bands on Adeline Records are awesome.
