Amazing song/album. Pete has got to be on of the best song writers since John Lennon. Libertines Re-Unite! Long live pete and carl etc. and Dirty Pretty Things are not too shabby considering no Pete

London girl this song is from there first album which is named after this very song title, It was written way before kate moss and pete had there fling, as was the song "what katie did" it was just coinsidence <<(cant spell)
The babyshambles album shotters nation however has a shit load of songs that are clearly about her

i think that 'your address' is maybe kate moss, that people wanted her address..and that those 'two cold fingers' are his middlefinger and his pointing finger, because if you do that showing your handpalm also,it means peace, but in the other way it means fuck off..
and that they would really pay for katies address..
but i don't know..maybe i should ask them what it means..
i dont really care that he does drugs, because the songs he writes, and the lyrics are just brilliant,on coke or not.
i dont like babyshambles at all,i think theyre music is cunty, but the lyrics are also very cool.but the music is the thing i dont like about them.
Libertines make my day every day, they make me soooo happy, the kooks and the wombats and arctic monkeys make me verrrrry happy also =)
xx

"I get the impression this is maybe the police "shadow men" probably onto Doherty asking for his dealers details. To Pete police would be shadow men, undercover police. Now Pete is obviously not going to grass up his dealer, and never ever would, hence the 2 cold fingers. I sense Pete is trying to protect something he loves/enjoys, tongue in cheek style. Anyone agree?"

Give them a bit of credit.. If they talk about drugs they do it a bit more subtly than that ("hurry up Mrs Brown..") The "two shadowed men" is a reference to the notorious Kray twins.. "It's just like she's in another world" could be a reference to drugs, probably is.

Oh come on, give them a bit of credit. If they talk about drugs, they do it with a bit more subtlety and class than that ("hurry up Mrs Brown..") The two shadowed men is a reference to the notorious Kray twins. The "it's just like she's in another world" could be a reference to drugs.

Awesome!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/21/2007

The Libertines are seriusly the best band i've heard in a long time, definatley teh best of the past 10 years. I wish they would get back together!!! they were just amazing. Pete and Carl where perfect for each other. Pete Doherty is a genius!! He is such an amazing poet, whic is proven with theese lyrics. He is a wonderful human being and it should not matter that he does crugs, for that is his own bussiness. I cant be denied that he is a true musical genius

FWIW Cally road is probably caledonian road, in Kings Cross area. Sounds like it's about getting asked to grass on someone (whether to the police or to someone else who the fuck knows).

libertines are great.. now everybody talks about babyshambles, but in my opinion they are kind of bad.. if you compare with libertines at least. I think all libertines-fans should listen to dirty pretty things if you haven't.. it's carl barats new band... I love them just as much as i love libertines. (*sorry for my bad english btw*)

great. | Reviewer: friz | 8/7/2007
