love the libs! | Reviewer: libertinenina | 4/4/09

yeey..great to see this one among the libertines´ songs where it should be..as the babyshambles version is a cover. a great one though.i just miss the libertines.neither babyshambles or dirty pretty things comes close to what the libertines was.a beautiful dream of music.

I read it. I'm offended.

I'm very happy, though, that you call the Babyshambles version a 'cover.' Serves it right.

And this seems to be the only place that lists 'coffee wallahs' and not 'wallows' which I think is right. A wallah was like a protector, wasn't it? Like those colonial Englishmen dressing up in suits and playing cricket in the boiling jungle just so they wouldn't lose their Englishness...

Albion | Reviewer: Josh | 8/23/07

Albion is the best song by the Babyshambles even if it isn't the original. Pete truly is a lyrical genius!

Message From Pete Doherty | Reviewer: Pete | 4/30/07

Hey this is peter doherty and this is one of the first sites to get the lyrics right. Hey everyone im doing another geurilla gig at the end of the camden crawl but its not posted much other places its only real fans that look for lyrics so hey see you there!

May the Albion sail on course | Reviewer: Kâtïe | 9/19/05

Albion perfectly captures the unrealistic beauty of the Arcadian dream held by The Libertines with none of the tumultuous volatility that the band, or at least Peter Doherty, are known for. The song is complete in its original form, the Babyshambles version will never be the same. Albion is charming and beautiful, and may it sail on course sometime again.

Well, what can i say | Reviewer: WIll | 2/15/05

The first time i heard the chunk of pure beauty that is albion was on a shitty little video camera that a mate had got into filth mcnastys. i loved the song and did my best to get a download of it. which was hard enough before the liberines where anything big. well anyway i think it sums up the feelings of pete (not that i really know what goes through his fucked up/genius mind) and carl perfectly

Libs rule | Reviewer: jo | 11/14/04

I didnt even know that there was an original libs version of Albion, but i dont think that it could be much better than this one. I like the way it is powerful even though it is an acoustic melody. I think pete has an amazing voice with a kind of raw edge to it. I love him, we all love him, and when i see him live im going to throw underwear at him yay! Libs rule!

Babyshambles cover | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/14/04

i havent heard the original Libs version, but Pete Doherty's new band, Babyshambles have done an acoustic cover... pure class. The words are rather hilarious whilst being solemnly patriotic....no1s gonna read this so i might as well just throw a few lewd comments around.....ARSE! ####! There, now go away.....to anywhere in Albion.
