Review about The Bandit Queen ------Performed by The Decemberists | 04/12/2006 11:00:00 AM The Bandit Queen This song is unhurried and mellow, and sounds more like a song out of the Old West than one from the wilds of Arabia as the lyrics seem to suggest. The melody is very pleasant to listen to, and has a bit of a lilt to it. The lyrics and the melody blend together effortlessly, calling up wonderful mental pictures of a the Bandit Queen relaxing in her hideout and holding up a nearby train. Altogether a wonderful song, well worth listening to over and over. Thanks to Clocky for submitting the review.
