I would dare to say that this is the first part of the next song in the WMS album... "Bare"... in Bare the relationship ended after years had been wasted when both knew it was a disaster... in Treasure, they both realize it's time to end the relationship and do so before it turns into a disaster... so instead of having the regrets of "Bare" you are left with the good memories of "treasure" no bitter or sour feelings.
