a fantastic song | Reviewer: Sam Fleisher | 8/4/2008
Everything in this song perfectly fits. Lyricaly it is such a powerful song about standing up for your self when martial law is declared. The bass line is so great, and everything just fits together so well.

Nouvelle Vague's cover of the song is incredible. Haunting and addicting. Look for it on www.projectplaylist.com
This song can never be overplayed | Reviewer: Maso | 10/23/2007
I completely disagree with the Anonymous reviewer who posted on 7/24/2007. 'Guns Of Brixton' can never be played enough. The music, the lyrics and the melody... everything is spot on.

I give it a 5 out of 5 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/24/2007
Unfortunately this songs is over played too much. But every song gets old.
But it is about the government just arresting everybody and killing them. and if they dont fight back nothing is gonna change and the government is gonna come after you next.

Excellent song.
I would consider it rival to white riot.
Possibly London Calling.
You know Pete Doherty and Carl Barat covered the song when the police burst in to a gig at their house.
You MUST listen to it.

SIMO IS THE BEST!!! | Reviewer: Sid the Vicious | 12/8/2006
This is one of the greatest songs by the Clash that exists! It's off London Calling, so that means it's even better. All the songs on that album are gems, and this is clearly one of them!! The bassist, Paul Simonon wrote this one, and obviously he did a good job. This has got a great beat, great imagery, and soooo badass... This song will give you the chills- it's that great. Cheack it out! You won't believe you hadn't sooner!!
OHHHHHHH, GUNS OF BRIXTON~ | Reviewer: Avi | 9/2/2005
This is a freakin' awesome song. The beat is really good, and the singing fits it well. One of the best Clash songs, IMO. 10/10
