Brutal Fucking Wording | Reviewer: Craig | 7/30/2007

I feel that this could be one of their best songs, perhaps because of the sheer brutality of it....I also believe Apex could be one to compete..

closed casket requiem = awesome. | Reviewer: mitch | 6/26/2007

this is my favorite song from black dahlia murder. "The rampant state of elation is heightened by the paleness of your cries." that line pretty much sums up the whole song. the song also explains the actual black dahlia murder... the way elizabeth short was murdered. her mouth was cut from ear to ear, she was dissected, and she appereared to have been partially raped. the murderer had obviously enjoyed himself, and his thoughts are beautifully expressed in this song.

anything but bad | Reviewer: Christina | 8/6/2004

I've seen this band live and their shows are packed with so much energy and chaos I cant even remember the whole show. But no doubt, Closed Casket Requiem is my favorite song. It's mixed with death in a comical but morbid way. This song goes from high to lows in a matter of seconds, it always keeps you alert. If you haven't seen this Michigan band, it should be on your things to do. You won't regret seeing The Black Dahlia Murder.
