So this is my interpretation. The subject is a playboy, but he never really attach to a woman & he feels alone all the time. But somehow, he finds someone who really takes his heart away. So, he tells her that he really love her. She is quite shocked when he said that. Sadly, the woman can never give an exact answer whether she love him or not. So, he waits her answer but it never come. He thinks that she is very busy & never had a chance to give the answer to him, but deep in his heart he misses her very much & still hopes that she will love him back. At that waiting time, he feels pain, love, hate, loneliness. Finally, he just conclude that she never really love him. So, for him it's better to become a playboy even though he will still feel alone.
