The Reviews about Strawberry Fields Forever (page 12/ 16)
------ performed by The Beatles

Calm it. | Reviewer: Matthew | 11/28/07

Ladies and gentleman:

I've read every comment on the song, and I'm disappointed above anything else.

Why are you all going on about trying to find a "true meaning" to this song. Isn't it possible that there is no meaning behind some of the lyrics? Or better yet, can't we all agree that Mr. Lennon took whatever attachment that there is to be said of the song, along with him to the grave?

I often worry about my generation, and it's obvious that there is a great number of them who are commenting. People in my age group go on and on about The Beatles and how fantastic they were. Then you see older generations feeling brought down, and perhaps feel as if a peice of their childhood, nay life is being claimed by what they can only consider "A bunch of ignorant kids" and perhaps there is some truth to this statement.

I will leave you with this as my final point.

Listen to the music, and enjoy it. Don't over-analyze it, or abuse it to fit some sort of silly myth about hidden meanings and messages.

You steal the charm of the music away...

I really like this song.
And in the end when the song is actually fading
you can hear him saying "I buried Paul."
Its very clear.

So sad | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/24/07

It's so sad that you people got to know all these amazing Beatles songs by watching a commercial movie such as "Across the Universe", when these songs have existed for decades and caused the real revolution. Only a few of us remain as authentic fans of the band.

Long Time Fan | Reviewer: Glenn | 11/21/07

I am almost 52 and have been a Beatle fan since the age of 6. I have yet to see "Across the Universe", but reading some of your comments I can't wait! I am not a "girly" man, but the recent "Love" album can literally make me cry. Put the DVD on a good surround sound system, sit back, close your eyes and immerse yourself. It isn't just listening to music, it is an experience not to be missed for any Beatle fan! I have got to get to Vegas!!!

blah | Reviewer: shelbie | 11/20/07

i love this song and how u put it in the movie across the universe, i
think that if everyone watched that movie people would think differently about war and stuff.
Anyway
this song is not about drugs its about going somewere peaceful and not have to worry about anything.

Across the Universe Fanatic | Reviewer: Heavenn | 11/18/07

I think this song is amazing! And like many others here, i was drawn to this site because of Across the Universe. It has opened my hippie-at- heart mind to the wonders of The Beatles. But, really, were they perpetually high because everyone tells me they were stoners. Is this true? I am in denial.

THE BEATLES RULE!!!!!! | Reviewer: Danny | 11/17/07

so what if they did drugs and some of their songs have to do with drugs if you dont like drugs then stop complaining about it and dont listen to the beatles but the drugs just made the music that much better i dont care that they did drugs because they made wonderful music through it

My Review | Reviewer: sam mccormick | 11/16/07

I agree | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/16/07

Yeah it's true...It isn't about drugs...But haven't any of you seen that movie about John Lennon? I forget what it's called ,but it's on VH1Classic all the time...That's how I know that...Why does everyone assume that so many bands from the 60's & 70's always are singing about drugs? I mean people do drugs they normally don't just sit there and write tons of songs about drugs. The drugs might make the song a little more intresting...but it's not always about the drugs...
