Why are you all going on about trying to find a "true meaning" to this song. Isn't it possible that there is no meaning behind some of the lyrics? Or better yet, can't we all agree that Mr. Lennon took whatever attachment that there is to be said of the song, along with him to the grave? I often worry about my generation, and it's obvious that there is a great number of them who are commenting. People in my age group go on and on about The Beatles and how fantastic they were. Then you see older generations feeling brought down, and perhaps feel as if a peice of their childhood, nay life is being claimed by what they can only consider "A bunch of ignorant kids" and perhaps there is some truth to this statement. I will leave you with this as my final point. Listen to the music, and enjoy it. Don't over-analyze it, or abuse it to fit some sort of silly myth about hidden meanings and messages.
