Truly beautiful and inspiring song! Although mainstream music may seem void of real meaning and beauty seen in songs like these, there is still hope. If you guys like The Beatles check out Jack White!! He is really an amazing artist and does a great cover of this song (at the White House concert for Paul McCartney). It may seem like the years of meaningful lyrics have passed, but for some artists they have not. I highly recommend listening to Jack White and/or his previous band The White Stripes!! There is still meaning and beauty left.

Are genre's, era's, the industry/business, money, music to be challenged by and what year you were born really that important? No, these things mean nothing. Just let it feed your soul and feel its beauty.

This song is beautiful.
I agree with the reviewers on this page..
Mainstream music has gone to absolute shits, it's actually disgusting to think about, I find it hard even calling it music, the true meaning of music, and what it is to be a musician appears to be unknown to them, it's not about money, that makes it meaningless.

When I lie in the grass in my backyard, close my eyes, feel the sun on my skin and listen to this song, I just get goosebumps all over my skin. This song is so beautiful.
I'm from 1991 and i never even listen to top40 music, is started to listen to the Beatles a year or 4 ago and their music just has so much emotion and feeling, i can't stop listening to it.

yes! Thank you kiki! You get it at least. Today's music DOES suck!!! And it does becuase it's all about rap, hip hop, and miley cyrus bullshit! Back in the day it was all about ROCK! And it looks like that's what we're about as well!

music with a message, btw this song is amazing! | Reviewer: KiKi | 1/13/11

born in 1993 and i love classic music i have such a great respect for it, i hate music today it doesnt have meaning, doesnt challenge the listeners, doesnt have a mesagge. anyone can make a song and it can be about pure crap. i love music that makes me think, mess with my emotions. thats why i love the beatles they did all that and it makes me super mad that ppl are comparing them and justin bieber?! there is no comparing the beatles and that no talented loser!
the music industry sucks and one day will crash when they find out these new artist sucks and ppl dont wanna listen to them anymore!

The Beatles are by far my favorite artists. but good music is still be made today. like Neutral Milk Hotel, The Avett Brothers, MGMT, etc. it is sad that mainstream music today doesn't have a real message too it. atleast in my opinion.

You don't need to do the research. Good music naturally comes out, sung, and get remembered forever! Who the hell is Keisha? Yes, music today is money making with no regard to how they (artists) can change and inspire people. The reason why many true musicians are reviving old songs is because there no new good melodies to sing anymore. Only a few i can praise now..the likes of bobby mcferrin, chick corea,. the pop world sucks bigtime! Many kids are turning back to the Beatles. Do a youtube and you'll see.

Hey! I was born in 94' also, and i agree with music now-a-days. Honestly i don't listen to any of it because it just doesn't mean as much any more. I hope in the years to come people learn that music isn't just a way to make money, it's a feeling. And popular artists now have seemed to have lost that since of fact.

Out of respect to yourself, go do the research and you will find plenty of amazing new musicians with great amounts of talent.

You just don't hear them being presented to the mass public, unlike Kesha or whatever. Nothing upsets me more when people make the statement you just made.

i was born in '94 too and popular music these days sucks. I would like to see one artist known by america sing a live song without all that tecknology and recording junk and actually sound good. Im talking about raw talent which musicians these days just don't seem to have as much of

i would KILl to be alive during their time and to actualy see the beatles and other amazing bands back when music was actualy good! but no i had to be born in '94 with the privilage of watching some white trash whore sing songs about sex.

Just a great tune. If you are older than 40, you know where you were and what it was like outside when you hear this song, if that makes any sense.

I like the story from one of the insiders during the recording of this song. Too tired to tell it but i'm sure it's out there somewhere.

This is a lovely song. It is about Donovan when he and the Beatles were in Rishikesh, India together with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

excellent. moody, broody, and so so good-y. Nice ransitions between minor and major chords with a satisfying and simple resolve. It also closes off the movie "I am Sam"
