The Reviews about I Am the Walrus (page 21/ 22)
------ performed by The Beatles

I know what it means | Reviewer: Ilana | 5/6/07

I have got to tell you this has to be one of the Beatles most obscure songs. And you know they had a reason. With everyone all "uppity" about Paul is Dead, the Fab Four decided to write a song with absolutely no meaning whatsoever. Of course, we their wonderful fan base found meaning to it anyway!!

What can I say? Tne best song ever written.
I love this song. Being a hippie (long hair & all!) this song is perfecg for me and Lidya.

. I personally think that the meaning is so incredible and so profound that if anyone knew it, it would cause minds to blow up, solve global warming, and reveal the secrets of God. But looking at it, it probably has no meaning what so ever. Its musical LSD, Viagra for the Soul, and Jackson Pollok on a score sheet. It’s a song that you can only listen to and enjoy. Its like looking at a field of daisies: you don’t rip your head off trying to understand it. its pure music!

I love the Beatles!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/24/07

ryan, it probably does have something to do with lsd it's a strange but still awesome song! The Beatles had a lot of drug references in their songs but their still so cool!!! Best band ever man!

Brilliant | Reviewer: Shane | 4/13/07

Hey guys, play this song backwards and it says "Paul is dead." Now there's your meaning!

I am the walrus.. | Reviewer: Alex | 3/17/07

Lennon got a letter from a school student who had been given an assignment to interpret a few beatles songs. He was amazed that people were actually looking into his lyrics to find deeper meanings so he decided to write a song that would be impossible to conprehend.

Masterpiece :)

The first few lines were written by lennon during two separate acid trips, so at least some of it is written in a drug-induced haze. Some of the lines are parodies on other songs, like the very first line, and other lines were influenced by things that Lennon read & remembered, such as childhood nursery rhymes, and shakespeare's king lear.

Lennon got a letter from some kid in a grammar school whose teacher was making them analyze Beatles lyrics. He thought that was funny and decided to write a totally random song. I also heard something about the first few lines of the song being written while he was on an acid trip or two.

weird! | Reviewer: lily | 2/20/07

Honestly I don't catch any meaning, philisophical or anything...Do you? But it is definitely some lovely piece of peotry.

How can it? | Reviewer: Emily | 2/23/07

I don't think this has any meaning. If it does, they must have realized it would be too obscure for comprehension. My opinion: pure LSD.
