Mike's black or white interpretation is so typical of people who can't (won't) face the truth b/c the truth implicates them. He probably takes a literal interpretation of the Bible for the same reasons. Don't get me wrong, a world of rainbows, puppy dogs and simple altruistic actions would be nice - it is nicem in fact, when such things take place. But the truth is for adults. The Beatles hit smack with the same abandon as other famous rockers of the era, all of whom probably couldn't touch the heights of even your average 15-year-old New Yorker. Why is this so surprising? Because there's Adam & Eve and Paul writing a simple song with no double meaning etc. Just ask, Mike here. He knows b/c he has to -if not, his world (and yours probably) will come apart at the seams.

For me...jsut easy as that | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/2/08

I don't know too much of the history of the Beatles...I only know the music...and to me, but maybe only to me, this was just a singing lesson. A great singing lesson!
I see Jude (I don't know who she is) standing next to Paul while he explain her how to feel a song (her)...maybe too easy, maybe too beatiful!

i love this song!!! | Reviewer: Bailey | 3/28/08

i love this song! it's paul's very best song ever! and joe anderson did a great version of this. except he just couldnt make that high note. i felt bad about that when i saw the movie across the universe

u guys have NOOOO idea what your talking about | Reviewer: beatles 4ever64 | 3/24/08

The Beatles were half about drugs but hte other half was good music. lucy in the sky with diamonds, was written about drugs, LSD... but hey jude was written with a completly different objective, it was made to help jude cope with lennons divorce and tht is exactly what it did while at the same time beeing worshiped by millions

Late Post, but hold it | Reviewer: Brooke | 2/27/08

A lot of you guys are... odd. The songs aren't about drugs. Strawberry Fields wasn't either, it was about a FREAKING PREP SCHOOL. Okay then, this song is about what some people said. A DIVORCE. God. I'm really starting to think you guys should read what the Beatles SAY the songs were about.

Across The Universe | Reviewer: Gatsby | 1/4/08

Have you seen Across The Universe? I just like to picture the song in that context....

I think perhaps a song means different things to different people, and that's the beauty. Once you understand something completely, it loses its charm. And often, when you believe you do understand, you'll stop seeing what could be there.

i thought it was about... | Reviewer: anónimo | 12/26/07

i'm i crazy or what? i don't know if the song is about drugs or Julian, but when i read it for the first time i thought it was about "accepting" someone, i mean (and i'm sorry for my english, it`s not my natural language) , someone loves you (Remember to let her into your heart) and then you have to look for her and make a moove.

What i'm trying to say is.....this song is about two people that love/like each other but don't have a relationship or anything yet.....¿did i explain myself?

Your looking too far into things. | Reviewer: Apple | 12/10/07

The the Reviewer: Greg Berliner the Reviewer: Mr.matsermind the Reviewer: Mike And anyone else. Stop looking too far into these things. Does the world really give a damn what the song was or was not about? Just listen to it and be happy. And if your not, stop listening to the song. T-T

My review | Reviewer: Mari | 11/26/07

I`m 24 years-old and I've liked the beatles since I was 10 because of my father.Guys it does't matter now if they had drugs or not because now we enjoy of their beautiful songs that inspire us in different ways.I don't like drugs but I do love this group! EspecialLy this song which makes me feel fine when Im sad.

heroin is it | Reviewer: Greg Berliner | 11/25/07

Alowing heroin under your skin is the only way that you did it then, by needle. A fool who makes his world colder (not golder), don't care it is colder not golder, refers to cold turkey, quitting heroin for those who don't know. You are a fool to do quit HEROIN. Says the lyric. They were all about the drugs, thank God they were. This and 'You Never Give Your Money' Step on the Gas and Wipe That Tear Away refers to an addict injecting HEROIN and gettiong rid of withdrawl sickness. I know this is what it is about. Keep kidding yourselves HEROIN was what the song is about. Maybe Lennon saw a connection between Dope and his Son. Wasn't Yoko a notorious fiend??????????

the real meaning | Reviewer: Mike | 11/16/07

In fact betty, you are right. This song was written for Julian Lennon during John's divorce. Jude was Paul's nickname for Julian. Julian was having a hard time with the divorce and John wanted anything that would help Julian through. This song is not about Heroine. whoever believes this should go play in traffic because all they are doing is looking at the lyric that says "under your skin". any idiot knows that you use the words to tell someone not to let something bother them. As well, don't let me "get under your skin"

yo. | Reviewer: Mr.matsermind | 11/15/07

This song is about a time when Yoko Ono was living with John Lennon and didn't want to have anything to do with John's son Jude. So he had him take a plane to where Jude's mom lived but couldn't take him there himself so he had Paul Mecrtney take him to the airport and while he was Paul was telling jude how he shouldn't feel bad and that he could make it better for himself and said alot that was in the song.Thats what happend to cause Paul to write a song about it.

I love this song. | Reviewer: T | 11/15/07

I love this song; in response to all the conversations about how the beatles songs were about drugs...some certainly were. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is about drugs(LSD), I just found out. Strawberry Fields Forever is, the same for Yellow Submarine. The Beatles are an inspiring group, my favorite. But in the 70s mostly all rock bands used drugs.

. | Reviewer: Jack | 11/12/07

alright drug use is bull sh**. especially for this its just well written. and even lucy in the sky of diamonds. that was song written about john lennons kids painting in school. he brought home a picture and he said her name was lucy and she was flying. look at the interviews.

askfjasklfa | Reviewer: erica | 11/3/07

the beatles didnt get "heavy" into drug use until later on. and this song is not about drugs.

the beatles were very inspiring.
and the whole thing about them being on drugs
while they wrote lucy in the sky with diamonds
bc if you take out in, the, and with
the initials are LSD

that's not it at all.
i mean, maybe they did that out of irony.
but no, not every single one of the songs were about drugs.
it disgusts me to hear that people think so.
